"So, actually they're just doing club activities?" Ask Avois.
"That's it," replied Zarone.
Avois frowned. "Isn't that just a coincidence?"
"At that point, I did think it was just a coincidence. But Vyra said that boy named Rainn was sneaking his way in the direction the ritual was taking place."
Avois' eyes widened slightly. "Please continue."
"According to Vyra's explanation, it was as if Rainn knew something big was going to happen. He told Vyra to be prepared."
Before this time, Avois felt that the teenager named Rainn was just a gifted child who had more than one magic power. But that's not the case. Looks like he has something more than that.
"What do you think we should do now? Should we recruit him?" Ask Avois.
Zarone shook his head. "I don't know. I'd like to see how he develops but that kid is too unpredictable. I suspect he still has more surprises."
"What's that?"
"I'm not sure. That's how a surprise works, man."
Avois nodded. The look on his face seemed to say that Zarone's words made sense.
"We need as many talented young hunters as possible, Zarone. If you think he has talent, there's nothing wrong with recruiting him," said Avois.
"I'm not even sure if he wants to be recruited. Vyra once recruited him to join the guild she made, but Rainn refused," Zarone replied.
"Really? What's the reason?" Zarone shook his head again, "I told you. I can't understand that kid."
"Tell Vyra to approach him. Your daughter is quite cute, isn't she?" Avois said lightly.
Zarone threw a sharp glare at him. "You said you wanted to use my daughter?"
"I didn't say that, precisely," said Avois. "I mean, our situation is critical. There are supernatural creatures that have entered the city walls and we don't know how many of them there are. What's even worse-"
"Yeah, yeah," Zarone cut in. "The Bureau was also most likely infiltrated by the supernatural. I knew that."
"We just need to recruit the boy and train him to become a strong hunter candidate," said Avois.
Zarone stared at the city through the room window. "I hope everything will go well."

Night had come when Rainn opened his eyes. He had been meditating for quite a while so his MP should have increased a lot.
Rainn opened the status window.

[ 5 unused skill points ]
Rain nodded his head. His status looks pretty good. Even so, judging from the previous battle, Rainn was still not very strong. He had to become even stronger.
Rainn then opened his Inventory window.
[ Inventory: ]
-2 Skill Scroll,
-1 vial of The Giant Scorpion's Blood (Common),
-1 Gate Key (A grade),
-Lesser Key of Solomon,
-Rod of Absorption (Legendary)
-Elemental Gem Shortbow(Rare) -Shadowsteel Sword (Rare), (Artifact Item).
He still had one more Gate Key. He just needed to find out where the Gate was. What Rainn felt let down a bit about Gate was its random location. So Rainn felt that he could do nothing but wait until the opportunity brought him to the Gate's location.
Regarding the Lesser Key of Solomon, according to Zarone's direction, Rainn decided to take the book to the city library.
There were also weapons that Rainn wasn't sure about. That is the Rod of Absorption. Rainn took the rod from the Inventory into his hand. Judging from its appearance, the weapon was a rod about fifty centimeters long. The stems are silver in color At both ends, there is a tube-shaped ornament that is black.
Unlike Shadowsteel Sword, as soon as Rainn thought about it, no transparent text appeared. That meant, Rainn had to bring the rod to the Appraisal's place later.
And of course the vial of The Giant Scorpion's Blood. He also had to find out what it was. It was possible that the blood of the Giant Scorpion he fought against could strengthen his physique. But of course, Rainn wasn't going to try until he knew anything.
Night's getting late. Rainn didn't feel like he could sleep now. After all, he had been asleep for three days. So Rainn got up, changed his clothes, and then walked out of his basement apartment.
A rumble of thunder began to be heard in the distance. Looks like his prediction was right about the rain that would fall tonight. He started running. Strolling the streets of Al'Modred at night, which is never quite.
Rainn expected that some kind of Quest would appear while he was running. But after running for more than an hour, no notification whatsoever from Systema appears for it.
Rainn turned his head when he noticed a white SUV moving slowly beside him. There was a familiar symbol imprinted on the door. The same symbol he saw was worn by the Investigators.
The front door glass is opened. The face of the woman who had met him at the hospital was visible. She smiled.
"Hi, good night, Rainn," the Investigator greeted. If he is not mistaken, her name was Rokee. Her tone sounded friendly but Rainn could already see what was behind the friendliness.
Rainn didn't answer. And he's also not trying to hide that he's annoyed by their presence.
"You need a ride?" Ask Rokee. Still with tone made as friendly as possible.
Rainn still didn't care.
"Listen, Rainn. We just wanted to ask," Rokee said. "The information you provide will be very important to help many people."
Rainn couldn't believe them. But it was just a hunch. Rainn had never actually seen the officers at Bureau do anything bad. After all, they are just doing their job as law enforcement.
Rainn kept running but he said. "I just need to say what I saw, right?"
Rokee's face turned a little more hopeful. "Yes. You want to talk?"
"I don't know. Will I get in trouble?" Rainn asked.
"What do you mean? Of course not," answered Rokee with a smile.
Rainn stopped. The white SUV stopped not far in front of him.
Even Rokee came down and opened the door for Rainn.
"I don't want to go to the Bureau building," Rainn said firmly.
"Oh," Rokee's face flashed a dark shadow of anger that lasted only a fraction of a second. Then the smile came back again. "Of course. Where are you going?"
"A bustling place," Rainn replied.
"You need to know," Rokee said patiently. "If we want to discuss an important and confidential matter."
Rainn prepared to run again.
"Wait!" Rokee snapped, then sighed. "Okay."
Finally, Rainn was persuaded to get into the SUV and the car started to move.
