"What are you doing here, Wang Yue?"
Mrs. Smith asked as soon as she saw Wang Yue sitting inside the car with Ai.
"Mom, please let me explain…"
Ai Smith whined cutely at her mother with folded hands. She pouted and fluttered her puppy eyes a few times. Those puppy eyes were enough to do the trick on her mother but the thing she didn't know was that her mother was shipping the couple more than her.
But with an angry face, her mother opened the car's door and sat inside folding her arms on her chest.
"Xiao Muchen told me yesterday night that you are going to stay at home because you are his guest and his responsibility. He can't put you in danger for something like this."
Her voice was firm when she spoke the truth. But she needed an explanation before she could think of anything.
"But mama, just listen to Yue Jiejie. She must stay with uncle handsome. If she will stay with him then only she can make him fall in love with her."
Ai Smith insisted after jumping on her mother's lap and circling her arms around her mother.
"You can't make me do what I don't want to do with your cuteness, Ai Ai. You know I need a reason that is correct not because someone else thinks that is correct. My heart needs to agree."
"I love him, Jiejie. I love only him and don't think that I can ever feel that feeling for anyone else other than him. It's only him and I need to make him realize that he too feels the same for me."
As Mrs. Smith heard what Wang Yue spoke, she closed her eyes and remembered the day seven years back in her life when she was ready to be the wife of someone she never loved.
Sitting in front of the mirror, checking herself and waiting for her friends to tell her to come outside to get married but that happened which she never expected to happen.
The door opened slowly and she turned around to check who it was. When she saw who it was, her heart stopped for seconds. She got up from the chair and turned fully to look at him when in seconds he moved near her.
She flinched at his unexpected move and looked at his sea-blue eyes that had so much depth that took her inside them to lose herself forever.
She wanted to tell him to get out of the room, she wanted to slap him for coming to the wedding just because of what his heart felt for her. She wanted to take his life for making her life chaotic but she ended up standing like a statue even when she felt his aliveness in her personal space.
She just kept looking at him until her eyes betrayed her showing his image when they were filled with tears but even after that she kept on looking until he took her into his embrace like his life was dependent on it.
"I am sorry. I am sorry. I am sorry. I tried…I tried hard but I don't think I can ever listen to what you told me to do. I can't stop loving you, Song Yenay. It is difficult for me to not even think of you for seconds."
Song Yenay came out of her trance when she heard what Jacob Smith said and stayed there, letting him hug her to his heart's content. But when slowly she started to melt in that touch, she put her hands on his chest and pushed him hard to get out of his embrace.
"Stop this nonsense, Jacob. I told you to go away from my life. Why don't you just listen? Don't give me the nonsense of that stupid heart won't listen. Tell your brain to take you out of this mess right now. I am not good for you."
As she said it, she turned around and her fingers started to fidget with each other out of nervousness. She bit her lower lip to stop the sob that was about to come out of her mouth when she saw the reflection of Jacob Smith in her mirror.
But at that time she saw him deciding something and then he walked closer to her. He held her forearm and spun her around to make her look at him.
"How dare you?"
Jacob Smith bites out.
"How dare you say that when you have me wrapped around your finger?"
Song Yenay's teeth sank into her lower lip when she again tried to hold her emotions inside her but to her dismay, Jacob pulled her near him making her go weak in her knees.
"I am sorry. I regret that with all my heart."
She breathed out what she was feeling for him at that time but what she didn't know was that it made him angry with her. That blow was devastating for him. He was in denial about what she just confessed to him.
"You are sorry… you are just sorry for what you have done with me and my life?"
"I know I should have thrown you out of my house when you first came here. I am sorry I became selfish. I should have never fought my way to get your life's few days for myself for my selfish reasons."
"SONG YENAY!"
Jacob Smith warned her to not speak anymore and she looked at him with determination in her eyes.
"I am sorry. I am sorry. It was my fault that your life is in such a mess."
"You know I can do anything for you."
Jacob Smith reminded her of what he was capable of but failed to register what she wanted to convey to him.
"Things are too hard for you to handle now. There is no way they will understand this love. I know what I am saying is hard for you but just face the truth. This is going to be very difficult for you."
"So you thought it was going to be easy for us to come together? Was it that difficult to know the day I came back into your life?"
He taunted her and her anger aroused from within.
"Yes, I knew. I always knew that this was going to be difficult but I never thought that it was going to come at the price of you. I can't lose you forever just to get you for a few moments. I don't want to hurt you ever."
She confessed and soon landed on the floor kneeling in front of him. Her hands perfectly sank into the bow and her eyes never stopped shedding tears.
"You don't want to hurt me… hahaha, what an irony, Song Yenay. You don't want to hurt me but you are the one who is hurting me the most right now. You know, Song Yenay, you are ripping my heart out of me right now and then saying that I should live my life."
