Like a statue, Luna froze in her place at the request she could not fulfill; she indeed felt regret about what happened to grandma Li but creating a public lie was something she was unable to do. She would never betray the truth for the sake of grandma Li, the killer of her biological parents.
"I do apologize, Mom. I won't do that."
"Luna…I am begging you." Her teary eyes which looked miserable gazed at her, pleading for her mercy. "You love me, don't you?"
"It is not that I don't love you, Mom. But, I don't aim to produce a lie to cover another lie."
To avoid the debate with her mother in law, Luna took her steps away from the balcony, heading to her room. It was only a few feet ahead of her, the maid jogged toward her.
"Ms.Yang, Madam, Mr. Hand and his acquaintance want to see you."
