In the tournament, it seems as though Akio summoned his clone again just in time for the beginning of the quarter-finals, where unsurprisingly, he's pitted against Eldric. The two stare each other down in the arena, laughing, and Akio asks Eldric if he's ready to be defeated.
"Yeah, right. I think you're talking about the wrong guy, Akio."
"No, I don't think so. In front of me, I see the loser of this battle."
"I see. If that is the case, then I shall prove you wrong."
"Do it.. if you can."
At that moment, both Akio and Eldric power up, the latter preparing to use the Thousand-Sun punch, while revealing that actually, his light magic has evolved to become Sun magic, and that's why he can use this attack.
"How interesting. Can it keep up with my Phoenix magic, though?"
