The darklings' food weren't different from the mortals' anyway, but she supposed direwolves, vampires and other species of darklings prefered to hunt for sustenance. Lord Kieran released her hand and took a seat at the head of the table, gesturing for Iris to do the same.
"You should eat something. I doubt you were able to eat and sleep well during your stay at Misty Moon Woodlands."
Iris did as she was told, piling various foods on her plate. It was only now she noticed that she was starving. Her stomach growled loudly. She wanted to ignore the feast before her, but her empty stomach had other plans. Mashed potatoes, carrots, breads, cheese and a large slice of goose and chicken. There were also fish and other delicacies served in front of them.
