"Something like that." Lord Kieran replied, turning his gaze up to the dark, starry sky this time, allowing Iris some private time to bathe.
No words were uttered for a few minutes, each of them occupied with their own thoughts. Once Iris finished cleaning herself, she moved to the shore and squeezed the excess water from her long hair, grumbling her irritation for not having any decent clothes to wear.
She dressed hastily, not wanting to keep Lord Kieran waiting for too long. With a wavering breath, she decided to seek him for answers. Her heart was racing, pounding in her ears and Iris didn't understand why she was reacting like this in his presence.
When she reached him, her long hair was still dripping wet and the black coat was barely protecting her from the coldness of the night.
