Tears stung her eyes as she stared at her otherworldly appearance in the mirror. She was foolish to think that she could escape everything by dying. In the end, her fate was truly not in her own hands.
Iris wondered if Killian had something to do with it. Was he the one who kept her from dying? She couldn't fathom his motive and why he was set on pushing her to the edge.
Her thoughts were immediately halted when two familiar faces entered her quarters. Iris was somewhat relieved to see the demon siblings, Rea and Nessa, in this foreign place.
"We're relieved that you are finally awake. The transformation must have run your energy dry." Nessa said before striding towards the armoire to find appropriate clothes for Iris.
