The dead Queen Asheera would have never thought that because of her actions, her beloved Shayla Kingdom would one day become the battlefield in the second war between the Court of Nevernight and the Court of Shadows.
Several of her people had been killed during Killian and Amelia's attack on the castle, while most of the citizens of her kingdom had fled in order to save themselves from the fight between the two courts.
The forest, as well as the same hill where she had changed Iris, was now left in destruction. Several deep craters were formed as the battle between the two parties continued. The demon lords were having a hard time defeating a single guardian. They were forced to team up to fight one. However, there were also demon lords such as Remus and the guardians that chose not to fight.
