Cal's yell reached them, leaving the three women confused. Thankfully, Amelia didn't waste time and swiftly dragged Chrysanthe and Ricci away from Iris as more tendrils of shadows appeared around Iris.
Cal and Yuri shared a knowing look. Others might think that this was the same as their liege's curse of immortality, but it wasn't. Lord Kieran had never exhibited such strong dark magic. Iris was definitely on another level.
"What's going on?" Chrysanthe asked as she fisted Amelia's shirt tightly, looking worried in Iris's direction. "Shadows? Is Iris cursed like Lord Kieran?" She gasped.
They joined Cal and Yuri at the foot of the hill, while still able to clearly see what was happening to Iris. The two demons didn't give her an answer.
