Aiden followed his High Lord in silence, aware that Lord Kieran was left heartbroken after Lady Iris's departure with her friends. He knew that there was nothing else Lord Kieran would want other than to keep his mate by his side, but he also knew that he couldn't, for there was no telling how the confrontation with the other demon lords would end.
Lord Kieran spent a long time in his study, writing letters which he later left in Yuri's care. Aiden could only look at his lord, hating that he could do nothing to ease the burden on Lord Kieran's shoulders. He knew that their High Lord would try his best to avoid engaging in a war, but handing over Iris Scarborough to the other demon lords would never be an option.
The sun was about to rise and Iris and her friends should have left Aisgarth by now through a secret path only Cal and Lord Kieran were aware of. They should be far enough that the other demon lords wouldn't be able to catch Iris easily.
