Iris found herself having trouble breathing. The screams of the two nymphs didn't seem to reach her ears. Queen Heloise continued to summon her magic, but it was no match against the black vines that were keeping her bound.
The black thorny vines continued to slither around them, constricting the two nymphs as their thorns sunk deeper into their flesh. As if it had a life on its own, it sucked the mana out of the nymphs' body, feeding on it.
The harder they tried to resist, the tighter the vines would constrict around them until neither of them could see anything as they were covered like a cocoon. The black vines continued to grow at an alarming rate, while Iris remained distraught by Queen Heloise's news about her family.
