Iris tried to ignore Queen Heloise's presence. She would be lying to herself if she said that she wasn't bothered by the nymph's presence. She hadn't been in a romantic relationship before meeting Lord Kieran, but she wasn't dumb to not know that she should stay away from his previous lover and not to cause any scene that others could use against her.
"Calm down, my darling. You don't need to entertain her if you choose not to. I'd rather you not have any encounters with her. Who knows what kind of order the Red King has given her before sending her here." The demon lord murmured next to her ears.
"It's easier said than done, beloved." Iris replied, forcing a smile on her face. She was aware that everyone's eyes were on them. "I wish I could pretend that everything is alright, but I know too well that she's here to find something that could be used against us."
