George River's gaze also carried a warning, clearly dissatisfied with his current attitude.
George knew Jimmy Simmons well, aware that he had always been a stubborn character and that his approach to women had always been to do as he pleased—calling them over when he wanted, dismissing them just as easily.
But Hannah was not one of those women he could casually flirt with.
Meeting George's gaze, Jimmy Simmons just chuckled knowingly and slowly read out the second half of his sentence, "Otherwise, she might be kidnapped by someone with bad intentions, and it would be awful if she were locked up."
George's face turned completely cold.
However, Jimmy Simmons remained nonchalant, mockingly raising his hands in surrender, "My bad, I misspoke."
After he finished, he looked towards Hannah again, his lips curling up, "Auntie surely wouldn't mind, right?"
Hannah glared at him, "If I minded, would you shut up?"
Her furrowed brows indicated she was troubled.
