Chapter 19 - Chapter 19: Termination of Contract

Within a short time, almost the entire dormitory building knew about the scandalous best friend betrayal that had occurred in room 308 today. Yet, Hannah, who should have been at the center of these rumors, didn't attract anyone's attention.

"Are you Hannah Winter?" The dorm matron finally pushed her way through the crowd, taking a quick glance at the spectacle before noticing the well-behaved girl standing off to the side, immediately taking a liking to her.

Decent kids these days are not as common as before.

Hannah walked over and nodded, "It's me."

The matron smiled warmly, pulling Hannah aside, "A man in a suit and tie with a briefcase, looking very serious, says he's here to see you. I don't know what he does, but be careful, alright? Do you want me to accompany you to see him?"

Hannah's quiet and innocent demeanor had always made her popular with others, and it appealed to the aunty's maternal instincts.

Hannah had an idea of who had come to see her. She declined the dorm matron's kind offer and left the dormitory on her own.

Outside the school at a coffee shop.

The man in the suit put his briefcase onto the table, opened it, and pushed a contract towards Hannah, "This is the contract termination Prideful prepared for you. If you have no issue with it after reviewing, you're free to sign it."

Prideful Entertainment, an entertainment company owned by George River.

The River Family did not initially build their fortune through the entertainment industry. They started in the field of construction materials. George's grandfather, who was the head of the River Family, made a savvy business decision by getting involved in the mobile phone business and later focusing on software research and development.

The establishment of Prideful Entertainment was solely because of Tiffany Lynch's childhood dream of becoming an actress. George remembered her wish and single-handedly set up an entertainment company, pouring vast amounts of money into it.

All in the hope of fulfilling the childhood dream of his first love himself someday.

'Prideful', isn't it just the 'Proud' from Tiffany Lynch?

Hannah gazed at the four characters on the cover of the contract and felt sorry for the original character.

She genuinely loved George amongst all the male protagonists. Although the original character interacted with others later, she only ever loved George from beginning to end.

Regrettably, the most precious thing in this world is sincerity, yet it is also the least valuable.

"I've read the contract, and there's no problem." Hannah closed the contract in her hand and looked at the man across the table with a smile.

The man adjusted his glasses and handed her a pen, "If you're fine with it, please sign here."

"Wait a moment," Hannah took the pen from the man but just toyed with it in her hand, sounding somewhat casual, "The contract's fine, but just simply letting me go, is that okay with you? I've been with your boss for two years after all."

This man was just an assistant, very honest, only aware of completing the tasks assigned by his superior.

He somewhat knew about Hannah and his boss's affair, the unmentionable tale of sponsor and sponsoree.

However, when Hannah spelled it out so bluntly, the man blushed without knowing what to say.

He had always been a bit slow and nerdy. He was nearing thirty and still never had a girlfriend, where would he find the backbone to deal with Hannah's straightforward language?
