She pointed to a nearly invisible scar on her face.
The doctor, being slightly near-sighted, thought his eyes were playing tricks on him. So he took out his glasses, put them on, and took a closer look.
About half a minute later, he concluded, "You're too late."
Hannah's eyes widened, "Wha... what do you mean?"
The doctor kept a straight face, "I mean you're late. The wound has already healed. If you had come earlier, I could have given you a free band-aid."
Hannah was still in doubt, "Are you sure I don't need to apply some medicine? Anything will do, really. Does this mean I can't use facial masks for a few days? Can I still apply makeup?"
The kind doctor provided answers to all her questions.
But Hannah's actions were so peculiar that they attracted a crowd.
Louis had only come to the hospital to get some medicine for his cold. From afar, he saw a familiar figure amidst the crowd.
