George River was somewhat irritable, especially with Tiffany Lynch by his side today. If Hannah Winter suddenly blew up and exposed what was going on between them, his relationship with Tiffany would chill again.
He absolutely wouldn't allow such a surprise to happen.
George River commanded coldly, "Call security immediately, get her out of here!"
The assistant didn't dare delay and hurriedly went to deal with the matter.
In the corner, the light was not as bright as in the hall, only a few dim yellow lamps were shining.
Hannah was sitting next to the bar with her hand propping up her head, her hair scattered. The dim light cast down on her face, either pure or charming, and every gesture carried a lazy aura. She was playfully teasing the boy in front making cocktails.
She had teased him until his face was red. Hannah chuckled with her hand over her mouth and downed the drink in her cup with her head thrown back.
The moment she tipped her head back, her slender and fair neck was like a black swan stretching its body on the calm lake surface, elegant and tranquil.
Especially that black dress of hers.
Despite its minimalist style, when she wore it, it carried an indescribable beauty.
Watching from a distance, George River didn't know why, but the word "stunning" flashed across his mind.
If he hadn't spent two years with her, he would never dare to admit that the woman in that corner was Hannah Winter, who dressed so dowdily and unappealingly around him every day.
In the past, whenever he saw her mismatched colorful get-up, he couldn't help but feel a sense of aversion.
But now, she's not timid, not humble. She used to be a cuscuta chinensis that could be scared into crying by a slightly loud voice of the others, but now she has changed so much.
Somehow, a sense of loss flashed through his heart inexplicably, and before he could adjust his mood, the assistant hurried back.
He brought a piece of not very good news, "Director River, I've inquired, Miss Winter was brought here by someone else."
"Who?" George River's grip on the wine glass tightened, whitening his knuckles.
The assistant hesitated but still said the name, "It's the second master of Simmons Family, Arnold Simmons."
At the sound of those words, George River felt a nameless fire ignite in his chest, burning his whole being.
As Jimmy Simmons' good friend, he certainly knew Arnold Simmons. Even when they were in school, he'd conspired with Jimmy to isolate Arnold and arrange for people to rough him up outside the school gate quite often.
But even today, he doesn't feel any remorse about his actions back then.
Arnold was just an illegitimate child. In their circle, they detested illegitimate children the most, especially since Arnold happened to be Jimmy's grandfather's son, Jimmy's uncle in name.
As Jimmy's good friend, he naturally felt indignant for him.
But then Jimmy suddenly disappeared, and the Simmons Family fell into the hands of Arnold. Unfortunately, Arnold, who seemed dark and introverted when he was young, grew the entire Simmons Group on his own and became someone whom even their elders had to show respect to.
Even now, he was constantly reminded by the elders in his family not to oppose Arnold.
For a moment, George River suddenly had the feeling that something of his was being stolen by someone else, and that person happened to be someone he hated the most.
However, before he could go confront, Hannah looked down at her phone and left her seat directly.
