As I stood in the dimly lit room, the soft hum of machinery the only sound, I prepared myself to report the recent developments. My heart pounded with anticipation and a touch of anxiety. The higher-up person I was about to speak to held immense power and influence, and their approval was something I.....we needed.
"Begin your report, Dr. Grey," the voice commanded, smooth and authoritative, though their face remained hidden in the shadows.
"Yes, of course," I replied, swallowing the nervous lump in my throat. "Our latest operation was partially successful. We managed to capture twelve individuals connected to the pack, and four of them have provided valuable information. They confirmed our suspicions about the pack's awareness and readiness."
