As I stepped out of the shower, clad in nothing but a towel that hung low on my hips, I couldn't help but pause in the doorway, my gaze drawn irresistibly to Azaria. She sat in their room, her damp hair cascading in loose waves around her shoulders as she lounged in a fluffy robe, the soft fabric clinging to her curves in all the right places. As she looked up and met my gaze, a flicker of surprise crossed her features, her eyes widening in realization. In that moment, time seemed to stand still as they shared a silent exchange, the air between them crackling with unspoken desire. Unfortunately, I had to ruin the moment.
"Hey, Azaria, I wanted to talk to you about the Alpha's ball tonight," Alaric said, his tone gentle as he took my hand in his.
"It's not just a social event; it serves three main functions. Firstly, it's an opportunity for the media to cover any significant changes in the werewolf community, so there will likely be reporters around."
