"There is no need to explain anything to them. If they wish to stay in the palace, that is okay but if they don't, then they can leave for good. It will be left to you to try and keep your soldiers together," Liam told the man.
The wizard looked at Liam and smiled. "I know you want them to stay," he said as he leaned back to look at Liam properly. "There is no need to hide it, one of them is your student and the other is an old friend, there is nothing wrong with wanting to keep them close to you in the palace."
"I don't care, I am not entitled to anything from them and what matters the most is if they wish to stay or not and if they do not wish to stay, there is nothing I could do about that," Liam reminded the man. "They are not slaves but allies and if staying in the palace with me would make them uncomfortable, then there is nothing I can do about it.
