Liam looked at the man with the thought of the life outside the wall that he wanted on his mind and he ended up giving in. "I will not kill anyone unnecessarily again and I will not do everything you want unless I am okay with it," he told the man firmly before walking out.

On the day of the coronation, many of the elders stood against him and his success. They did not believe he was good enough to be the prince and they asked him to challenge them all together to prove he was worthy of being king because apparently, the king could fight them all in a match and win.
They wanted him to prove he was strong enough and they wanted him to use magic too. It would have been better if they had simply asked the first request because Liam could not think of a way he could use magic when he was not able to for so long around the wizard who so desperately wanted him to have that ability.
