He adjusted when he had a feeling that the girl was going to win. The man raised his hand and mopped his brow before looking at the guards in the room. Liam could notice that they could only escape as they don't seem to have any intention of letting them leave so they could only escape.
She won! He turned to her and smiled.
"Well done," he commented.
"No," she shook her head. "You well done," she replied as she stood up. "Could I get my gold? I am a little too late for my curfew?" she asked the man she won against.
Liam was confused by her statement about her curfew but he stood up and said, "We have to return early enough. It is already getting so late."
The man waved his guards and from his peripheral vision, he could see them moving closer but the guards behind the man remained still.
