The thought of following her back to the palace was scary enough to make him mount his horse and gallop away from the diner.
He was sure that he will meet some obstacles on the way and the first he met was his guard. The man brought the girl he fought with. The girl looked like she would have loved to be anywhere else aside from the same proximity to the prince.
"Are you sure you want to leave the palace?" the guard asked the prince as he could not bring himself to believe that the prince will give up on the life of luxury in the palace to live without his title as a prince while being targeted by the royal family and the many others who wanted him dead.
"Yes, do you think that is a life of luxury?" Liam had to ask the guard who looked like he had not heard the prince's words. "You don't seem to understand all I had to go through as the prince. Do you know how many people have tried to kill me? Do you know how many more want me dead right now?"
