"I am sorry to have infuriated you thus, your majesty. You complained that I remained indoors and I want to go out but yet you wish to keep me locked in. I could gladly spend another fortnight here," he told the man with a carefree smile.
"You . . ." the king began feeling that same urge to hit him but he shook his head and walked away while calling out to him, "Come with me."
Liam looked down at his tattered appearance from staying indoors for two weeks without proper care of himself so he called back, "I do not want my wife to see me looking this way, your majesty. Please spare me to look better so I don't dirty the eyes of the royal women."
The king stopped on his track causing those following him behind to stop too but he did not turn as he spoke to the guard beside him, "Tell him he has only ten minutes to meet me in the throne room," the king ordered.
