Chapter 100 - What is the greatest pleasure a man can have?

On the other side.

Roy has been wandering around the Kingdom of Aicotse for three days now, it is still considered a relatively wealthy country and the people's lives are relatively stable.

It was probably because it was so boring that the king had started a war to regulate the dead atmosphere in the country ...

Roy did not use a disguise to change his identity, so as soon as he appeared, he attracted the attention of patrols.

But most civilians didn't recognize Roy, which wasn't surprising; Roy wasn't instantly recognizable like Kaido, plus, in the civilian world, he didn't have the reputation that Kaido had.

He had made a big fuss in the battlefield of the Great War, but still not many civilians knew him. Roy's fame was not as well established as Kaido's, and since the kingdom had deliberately concealed this matter, it was not unusual for the civilians of the Kingdom of Aikotse not to recognise Roy.

After all, it was not a glorious thing to have more than 20,000 people run over by one man, and it was better to hide it.

But Roy had caused a stir within the royal family of Aikotse, when originally he had merely made a name for himself in pirate circles.

Roy walked into a commoner street, which was located at the back of a busy street and seemed very depressed, as more people were concentrated in the busy street.

Roy stopped in his tracks and then smiled, "When you meet your country's number one enemy, it's best to carry out an assassination when there is no one else, isn't it?"

Roy had sensed the people who had been lurking around him, "Now that I've given you the time to strike, won't you hurry up and kill them? The royal family of Aikotse!"

As Roy turned around, behind a few houses, dozens of men immediately poured out, and they were more than 80% similar in dress to the Aikotse Kings** Roy had seen on the battlefield a week ago, except that the armour looked more elaborate.

This was the patrol of the Aikotse royal family.

"We didn't mean to make a move!"

One of the guards of the patrol walked up to Roy, and although he forced himself to remain calm, the tremor that twitched slightly at the corners of his mouth could still reveal the fear inside him.

"His Majesty the King wishes to meet a great man such as yourself, the feast is ready, please do make yourself at home!" The army chief spoke up.

Roy spoke with interest, "Oh? A feast?"

"What?"

The army chief naturally did not know what a "Hongmen Banquet" was, his eyes froze, and when he saw that Roy was not going to say anything more, he was about to invite him again, only to see Roy smile a warm smile: "Lead the way, and may the Holy Light bless you!"

Not expecting Roy's attitude to change so quickly, the army chief and the others were quite surprised, but that was what their own and others had come for, and seeing Roy's agreement, they immediately led the way for him in the direction of the royal palace.

"I'm afraid they are thinking of how to kill me, whether by ambush, or poison!" Roy began to fantasize, but now he was also bored, just like the royal family of Aicotse, idle ...

Upon reaching the red carpet of the kingdom of Ekotse's royal palace, sitting on top of the throne on the dais was an old man dressed in a brown military uniform with a cloak probably in his early sixties.

Osteen Cid.

That was his name, and at his left waist he wore a western sword, while the king**s commander-in-chief, Donte, was at that moment standing at Sid's right hand, and Roy could see that one of his hands was in a pre-drawing position.

Sid stood up from his throne and walked down the steps at the same height as Roy, his wrinkled old face showing no hostility as he glanced around Roy.

"With a bounty of 950 million Bailey, having fought to a draw with Kaido, who had a bounty of over one billion, half a month ago, and now ranked just below the likes of Roger, Whitebeard and the Golden Lion, and one of the great sea pirates [under legend] alongside Charlotte Lingling and Kaido, Tirio d. Roy!"

Cid looked around Roy while giving out information about him, but it was all published in the newspapers and was not unusual.

But it can create the illusion that the other person knows you well.

After saying this with some suspicion of appreciation, Cid turned his words around and asked in a deep voice, "Such why did you intervene in the war between our kingdom and the Kingdom of Letters? For the sake of the Devil Fruit? If you are so powerful, why do you need devil fruit? To sell them for money? Name a price, how about the price you can sell me the Devil Fruit for?"

Cid knew that Roy used to be in the bounty business of killing people for money, so he thought the other man must be interested in money.

"Devil fruit, ah, I'm just along for the ride." Roy laughed to, "And has been destroyed by me, the holy light hates demons and hates war even more, the holy light will kill all guilty people!"

Roy babbled up, the Devil Fruit was definitely not to be given, it was for the future King of Ham, King of Kings, Sanji.

Cid's face stiffened, he didn't expect Roy to be able to bullshit more than him, everyone is a thousand year old fox, do you think I don't know you are bullshitting?

Roy smiled lightly and said, "Your Majesty, where is the promised banquet? Why is it so empty?"

Cid had in mind not to make an enemy of the other man, at least for now, for what purpose he was intervening in the war; generally speaking, pirates did such things to rob money.

But this guy didn't seem to care, even so, let's stabilize it first.

Thinking of this, Cid waved his hand and shouted, "Men, set up a feast!"

Soon, banquet tables were quickly prepared on both sides of the side halls of the Kingdom of Aikotse, these were prepared at the beginning, so they were brought up straight away.

During the feast, Cid casually found an excuse to leave the table, and Roy could guess a few of the bad ideas he had in mind, and didn't stop them, or more often, didn't bother to stop them at all.

Outside the side hall, Cid met with his man Donte, who, after skimming a glance at the opulent side hall in the distance, bowed to Cid and said, "What do you think, Your Highness?"

"Whoever gets in the way of my ambition to unite the continent of Lulusis must die!" Cid was angry and the consequences were dire.

To be honest, he felt he was a wise ruler, having succeeded to the throne at the age of thirty and pulled the impoverished and untidy country up to a life of plenty, and as he entered his later years, Cid wanted to realise his greater ambitions.

Just after he had found the opportunity to go to war, Roy's out put a damper on his ambitions.

"But Your Highness, the other man is recognised by the Navy as well as the World Government as a pirate monster, having witnessed how terrifying he is on the battlefield, it's impossible to kill him with unusual methods!"

Donte's forehead was left with cold sweat and goose bumps all over his body when he remembered Roy's appearance on the battlefield.

"If we risk our hands to kill him, the result will be certain death, and the wrath of the kingdom will surely be visited upon him!" Donte discouraged.

Cid raised his hand to stop, "I Cid what big storms in life have not seen, this Roy although trouble, but not at all without a solution ..."

"But ... the other side is the Archangel of Eternal Life ..." Donte was a little worried.

"Donte, I remember you have a very interesting ministry under you!"

Donte's eyes flickered and he instantly reacted, his face slightly stricken, "Your Highness, are you talking about Alia?"

"Use that thing, plus Alia together, to finish Roy off." Cid ordered.

"But Your Highness, that would be too costly, after all, Alia is one of my very important men!" Donte worried.

"We don't know if this Roy will continue to hinder me, and her body, compared to the victory of the war, is insignificant!" Cid said coldly, "There's no one better than her, you have to know what a man's greatest pleasure is, and it's at times like that that men are most intent!"
