Chapter 52 - Underneath the Dungeon

Hati is a fire enchant magic that absorbs magic power and damage. When Bete uses it, four flames are placed on each one of his fists and feet.

The magic absorbs anything that uses magic power it comes in contact with, be it attack magic, curses, or even magic barriers.

As the magic absorbs more magic power, the flames grow, even burning Bete himself, which in turn increases its power even further due to its damage absorption property.

That's why even without any magic to absorb, Bete has used his body to accumulate damage on himself to further enhance the power of the skill.

And by using the same principle of how David unleashed an attack even without magic or skill, Bete has created a new attack that unfortunately missed his opponent.

But despite that, he has created an opportunity to use a skill that he barely used as it needed for him to be bathed in the moonlight and the sky of Orario that was filled with miasma has denied his chances to use it.

Only after his attack missed and cleared the sky has he found a chance to activate it, along with taunting Allen to come in his range, so he doesn't need to contend in speed.

'Úlfheðinn'

Bete has become beast-like, with the skill raising all his abilities by a large amount, and all the damage and abnormalities he received are negated.

Like a hunter that has been hunted, Allen has become a fish on his chopping board.

While still grabbing his opponent's stump where his right hand has been, Bete clawed the innards of Allen while biting on his neck and twisting it.

Bete afterwards crushed his spine and made a hole on his back similar to what he has done to Ais, however he is still not done as he soon targeted the man's other eye that was left by David when he took his right eye.

"Now you really are going to die as a stray cat."

Spitting on Allen's face, Bete stomped on his chest before pulling his remaining eye and throwing him away like a rag dog.

Like a puppet without a string, he collapsed on the now-destroyed section of the land while looking at the now disappearing moon after the miasma had returned.

And after a few seconds, his beastification has been undone and his form has returned.

"Did I do good?"

He turned to where Gareth is, but was surprised when he saw his headless body still standing while receiving the attacks of dozens of monsters.

And before he can perceive what happens a spear has lodged in his head, eyes, spine and brain at the same time, killing him while still not knowing what happened.

"*******"

Ptui!*

A beast-like man has emerged in the shadow while holding a spear in his right arm. He has a sleek fur and mane running on his body, while his right eye was shining like a crystal.

"You think you're the only one with beastification bch!"

Allen that has almost died and was humiliated has turned sides and changed his being just to extract revenge, however now that David has died he has turned his blade on his former comrade.

"Just in time Ottar, I never thought that it could really work, but now we have an equal ground."

"I am here to clean what our… no, my goddess has dumped."

"Now that you remind me after I obliterate everyone in our… no, your Familia! I'll use YOUR GODDESS AS MY EXCLUSIVE HOLE!"

Allen has exclaimed the last part of his sentence like a madman while swiftly dodging an attack that destroyed the whole street from the King.

He grins while spinning his spear on his now clawed hand while tossing an ear in his left hand.

"You drop something."

Before throwing the ear, he just cut from Ottar to him.

"You are so sloooow 'KING'! Should I lend a hand?!"

Cling!*

A deafening sound echoed when Allen tried to attack Ottar from behind, as the man had blocked it with his bastard sword.

Cling!*

Clang!*

"What happened 'King'?! You've grown weak! I could barely feel your attack when it missed! Hahahaha!"

Allen is now playing with him as he knows that no matter who, no one can reach him because his speed has reached an impossible level after attaining a beastification.

"I even doubt that your strength is greater than mine, Ottar! Behold the power I have gained after being discarded by your god!"

Burst*

Splat*

Splat*

Like a balloon that exploded from inside, Allen has just died from the shockwave of Ottar's sword that he has received with his spear, his innards, bones and meat has gone beyond recognition as a decoration on the concrete.

After his loss to David, he has trained and trained until he bleeds to just reach the level where his blade can hurt what he intended.

A level only David has reached after gaining the Sword Heart.

"Trash."

Ottar retrieved Bete and Gareth's body to deliver to Loki before turning to return to his goddess.

—---

"Where am I?"

David woke up in a dark place where he could barely see his hands and feet. He felt like he had talked to someone earlier, but can't seem to remember.

"Odd, it's been so long since I dreamed, but now I can't even remember it."

He looked around and saw nothing but a slight gleam in the distance, so he tried to reach it, but after a minute of walking, he got bored and flew instead.

And the first thing he saw was a goddess wrapped in a gooey, disgusting substance.

"Hello?!"

He tried to reach out but got disgusted by the slimy thing, so he used a clone to do it instead.

"..."

"What? You can just poof out of existence after that, right? Come on, it's already dark."

His clone looks around and only sighs as he can only see nothing but darkness.

Sigh*

While smirking, David observes his clone that was closely examining the goddess before going around and kicking her towards him.

"..."

"What? It's dark, and I can barely see anything, so ciao!"

Poof*

!!!

While panicking, he spammed his Perfectus to clean himself off the disgusting thing while hugging the sleeping goddess on him

Unknowingly, he has just initiated the same ritual he and Hephaestus did to fix any impurities on her, and now he had just slowly but surely cured the sleeping goddess while forming a connection with her.
