Chapter 46 - Brewing Storm

Tenkai was a place where gods reside and, befitting of their status, it was a place that can only be described as exaggerated.

However, even with its magnificence, gods still chose to move and descend on Genkai to experience something new in their bland endless life.

But their whims caused the Age of the Heroes to end and brought humanity close to its extinction by spawning three of the strongest calamities in its wake.

However, even after their mistake, gods after gods still chose to descend as there are still more pressing matters that could take place, a prophecy foretold that could even threaten them.

The Promise Time

And Hermes has seen firsthand how everything starts and could possibly end, as a dazzling light of Arcanum flashed before his eyes.

A god could demolish the dungeon if he wanted, however, it would result in his ascendancy as they were forbidden to use their power in the lower world.

But the true crux of the reason would be the hastening of the arrival of the Promised Time, and the purpose of the attack is truly it.

Hermes ignored the deafening silence permeated in the place as everyone was still in shock at what had just occurred and immediately traveled to where Ouranus is with his Ability.

Leaving the still dumbfounded Loki Familia that was staring at where David is.

Hermes was torn at the demise of the future hero of theirs, especially as there is no more time for Bell to develop his potential at this rate.

And he doesn't have any hope left to wish that David has survived an attack that burned a hole deeper than his godly eyes could see.

Only the abyss awaits their death if they don't do anything to resolve it.

—-------

Ais were confused at what just happened, earlier David was reproaching her about something she couldn't understand, then the next thing happened a blinding light suddenly covered him.

Wiping out both him and the hill he was at without even leaving dust.

She was beyond belief at what it did happen as she was still processing the incident while staring at the chasm just beneath her feet.

It was a hole big enough for monsters to climb out, and she could even see the deeper floors teeming with life.

The Large Tree Labyrinth, the Water City, the White Palace, and even the Moytura on the 48th floor are just a glance at her place.

But beyond them is an unknown place as even with her level she couldn't gasp at what is the end of the attack as each floor is bigger than the last.

"What happened?"

After an unknown time, Tione questioned them with a teary face.

"An attack just punctured the dungeon straight to the deepest floor, and it seems like it is not repairing itself anytime soon."

Riveria answered with a grim face, her body is badly shaking while staring at where David is.

"I know that! I see that! I'm asking what happened to him!"

Tione jumped from her feet before leaping into the bottomless void, but her sister caught her midair before she could descend.

"Stop Tione! You will surely die if you jump in that pit!"

Tiona immediately knock her sister unconscious before she could do anything stupid.

She knows how much David means to her, and she knows what crazy thing Amazoness could do, however, the situation is crazy enough for her to be panicking.

"We should leave this floor before monsters run wild and fill this place, this hole would be the perfect way for them to climb up, so we had to limit their number on the higher floors."

Riviera glances at the unconscious Tione before guiding them out of the dungeon.

She knows that it was close to impossible for someone to survive that attack, however like most of them they had wished that David had survived even against all odds.

"How about his a..!"

Riveria pulled Ais out of her stupor before she could finish her words, even if they knew who it was, they had no power to apprehend or even question them.

'As always we are just powerless as we are from the start.'

—--------

An emergency meeting had occurred immediately at the highest point of Orario and all the gods were called and had to attend per the request of Ouranus.

No one knew what the content was, however, everyone could feel a change had happened in the dungeon as no monsters were born after an attack made a large hole in it.

Like the calm before the storm, they can feel a calamity brewing just beneath the grounds, ready to take whatever they had along with their life.

Accompanied by a slight tremor that was growing stronger at each approving day.

—------

In a place where god can never dream of and never will, a place devoid of light and life, a dozen of tears flow in her trembling eyes.

She had been in this place older than before, and every time she woke up in her eternal sleep a great calamity brought by her kind descended upon her creation.

Helpless, she can only retaliate to protect her beloved.

However, a sudden force strikes her true, ending her slumber and causing great damage to her children.

Bewildered and frightened, she can only hug herself in fear as the last bit of her resistance crumbles along with the arrival of The Promise Time.

"Why must you abandon me, My Love."
