Chapter 13 - Git Gud

After dispelling my clone I sit back on my spot near the courtyard, my god is sipping the tea I brew for him.

He has a calm smile while looking at the devastated surrounding, the floor is caved in and cracked, the trees are uprooted while the walls are either broken or already crumbled.

I sweated after noticing the damage my clone has done, I know that they're my clone, but I think that this is intentional.

I tried to say something, but my god speak first.

"I Am Never Gonna Financially Recover From This"

"..."

Before I can understand the reference he gives me a big thick book with complicated runes and marking.

"What is magic is to you David"

My god looks at me with a calm smile, it is the face of my god I remembered when he first welcome me to the Familia.

I looked at my hand and clench it tightly. I never thought of anything that complicated in my life even in the past.

Maybe this is a grimoire, a magical item that grants power to the reader. But it is useless for me, I don't think I would ever need something like this nor can ever afford.

"Magic for me teacher is a complicated topic, it goes from reality creation to reality destruction, so I can't accept this costly gift from you, or else the least of your worries is this world and yours"

I bullshit my way out of this because I know how greedy I am.

I don't even know if I could just let my clones use the grimoire themself and spam learning every justu, magic, and power I can think of.

Even the limitations of 3 magic per person are useless for me because of my skill Perfectus.

I never consider a person perfect if they have even any limitations. The only limitation I acknowledge is themselves.

Goibniu looks at me with amusement.

"So you even you doubt yourself huh? That's a new one"

He pats my back while looking in the distance, not at my mess in the courtyard.

"You know David, the reason gods descended on Genkai is that we are bored on heaven, we are bored with stagnation, we are bored with no change"

" The reason we descend is that as a god we already reached our limit"

He looks at me in reminiscence.

I contemplate what he said.

"I don't think I can control myself"

I muttered weakly

" I don't think I can contain my greed"

Then look at my hands

" Even the source of my obsession with perfection is because of my greed."

And clench it

"I don't even think gods as the limit"

I know what is beyond of beyond

The powers of fiction I once saw in my past world.

Bending the reality on their whim, destroying one, and creating one.

If this is also a part of fiction in my past world then it means the other fiction can also be real

I just want to live in content and die with content.

I relaxed my hands then look at my god. He looks at me like I'm crazy before laughing out loud.

"Hahahahaha!"

He really looks like he needs help regarding his mental health.

He continued laughing for a full minute before looking at me seriously.

Then suddenly I feel a deadly pressure, so heavy I forgot to breathe,

He released his Arcanum.

His divinity as a god of forge.

Then it went as if nothing happened, I was amazed

I can't even comprehend what it was

Just the strongest I have ever felt.

"Now don't go brooding over something you don't even understand."

He stands up while patting my back.

"If you want to be the strongest then show the world your greed, show the world your perfection, then transcend it"

------------

I looked at the old man back

'Damn that old fart is cool'

I released the breath I unknowingly held then glance at the grimoire in my hands.

Each one of these costs over 100 thousand each and I think I can just use my clone then spam learns this one.

Grimore some can give you a specific power which is useless even if I spam learn it, but this one can cost twice a normal grimoire

It unlocks the user's potential and learns what the user thinks magic was.

Suddenly the door slammed open with my god head popping out.

"Take some of your belongings because you will be moving out of the Familia. I kinda forgot about it, but you will be living in the Hephaestus Familia starting tomorrow, Tee-Hee"

In frustration, I throw the grimoire with precision on his empty head.

Arcanum:

Gods are forbidden to use their powers, known as Arcanum. Despite the rule, they are allowed to use their Arcanum under certain conditions only for use with mirrors, such as broadcasting War Games. While not a part of their Arcanum, Gods and Goddess emit an aura known as divinity that allows others to recognize them as such.

Grimoire:

Grimoires are spellbooks created through the use of the Mystery and Mage Development Abilities. It allows the reader to learn magic simply by reading it. It can only be used once, and will become empty after it is read.
