Thea knew Marc and Leonor were sitting together on the sofa facing directly onto the balcony of her room. From the corner of her eye, she saw that both of them looked friendly and even occasionally noticed that she was busy tidying up the contents of the handbag she wanted to carry.
When she was about to leave the room, Thea turned her head and waved at Marc, who was staring blankly at her, then hurried off to where she and Ava had promised to meet at one of their favorite places.
Thea had been in quite a bad mood on the trip; she thought she would feel much better when she got to the Near and Far Joint cafe. When she was about to park the car, she saw Pauline's car and Hugo's motorcycle parked right next to Ava's metallic blue car.
