Ekelon waited in the kitchen while his mom went upstairs to get the gift.
After she returned she gave him a yellow crystal ball big as a baby's first.
"What is this?" he asked with a scrutinizing gaze.
"He said it's a manacore, fell out of one of the beasts he killed" his mom shrugged.
Ekelon frowned. "Mana beasts have started forming their cores? isn't that too fast...if their rate of advancement is higher than awareness then that would bring trouble for Country M"
'Is that why they're being desperate?' he wondered, there wasn't much he could guess without knowing fully what was going on.
"Will you take it or not?" his mom scoffed. "You're saying things I can't understand"
Ekelon then held the core tighter before his mom would take it back, she was unpredictable most of the time. "Just tell Dad to be safe when he goes hunting"
After dinner, Ekelon then decided to satisfy his curiosity about the mana core in his room.
