Pel got to find out that closing the Rift or gates as the siblings say was not that difficult and so was opening it, with the core crystal that was supporting the gate destroyed, it only took seconds for the gate to close up and the four of them got out before it closed entirely.
When they got out of the rift, there was an awakener there but Pel took care of him before their location would be given away.
"Is this the surface that they are all talking about, look at this place... it's probably worse than Deractum in the Dark Continent" Sal said as she stared at the dark clouds.
"It's not always like this...I think" Pel felt strange. He had not been on Earth for up to three months but he was already acting like a representative for humans. "Anyway I'm sure there are better places"
Sal raised a brow. "You're sure..."
Pel did not reply. There was no way he was gonna tell the embarrassing story of how he became human to those he just met.
