Jonathan placed Angela in her sleeping bag without touching it before moving his own sleeping bag for rest. When he lay down in his sleeping bag there were many people that whispered to him words of encouragement and that everything would be alright.
It made him feel a little better and feel like he could return to normal at some point which made him fall asleep. Sleep went away as quickly as it fell upon him as he was awoken once more by the sound of The Watcher's voice.
"GOOOOOOOD MORNINGGGG EVERYONE! It's time for another day inside the games! I'm excited about this game because there's something special about it but you will have to wait and find out hehehehe!" The Watcher said with his screen appearing and also a very unusual tone of excitement.
Jonathan was half awake when he heard The Watcher but once he realized that The Watcher was talking about the upcoming game he quickly perked up and began listening. However, The Watcher really didn't give much of a clue about what was going on.
"Now that all of you are awake and can hear me go to the usual door and wait for it to open. You all have 5 minutes to get there or you will be shocked. Just a little warning the shock this time will be deadly so don't expect to get back up!" The Watcher said saying the last part with a cheery tone as if they really enjoyed watching people get shocked to death.
Once The Watcher said the last piece he quickly disappeared and another timer showed right above the door of where they needed to go. Since it wasn't far Jonathan took his time stretching before looking around the room slowly.
Many things had happened the day before, so much that his mind felt as if it was numb and that all of it wasn't real. However, Jonathan knew it was real and accepted that fact. The proof of it all happening was just behind the force field.
When Jonathan thought about the force field he glanced over toward where the bodies were and his eyes immediately bulged in their sockets, 'Where are they?' Jonathan thought in confusion as he looked all across the room.
Every single one of the bodies from the day before was gone but when Jonathan glanced toward the number of participants to see if he was insane it was still the exact number after he killed them which meant they were still dead.
'Did they clean them while we were asleep?' Jonathan thought to himself. That seemed to be the only logical explanation since he couldn't figure out another way for so many bodies to disappear and all the bloodstains to be completely wiped from the floor.
Jonathan decided to leave it at that before walking toward where he left Angela. When he glanced at her he was glad to see that she was waking up and rubbing her eyes. The blood that was previously on her lips was also gone and the bruising on her face had dissipated as if it was never there.
'What is happening here?' Jonathan thought to himself when he saw no injuries or signs of them on Angela. He then glanced toward Kylie who had also just gotten out of her sleeping bag and was walking toward Jonathan.
"Your bruises are gone." Jonathan said to Kylie as she arrived in front of him. Just like Angela Kylie's bruises were all gone and there was no sign of blood or any kind of fight happening anywhere on her.
"I could say the same for you. The blood on your suit is all gone." Kylie said also in mild confusion as she looked between Jonathan and Angela. She had realized when she first woke up that her bruises were gone so she came over to check and see what the others were like and they seemed to be in a similar situation.
Jonathan was confused by what Kylie said but when he remembered crushing John's skull he quickly looked down at the pant area of his suit expecting the same blood and brain matter stain that he had the day before but just as she said it was no longer there.
There wasn't a single trace of anything that happened to him which left him in a very confused state. Jonathan had been asleep in the sleeping bag the entire time without waking up. If his suit were to be cleaned then he expected himself to wake up or at least remember something happening but no matter how hard he tried to remember there was still nothing.
"Do you remember anything about someone cleaning up the area or somehow fixing up your bruises?" Jonathan asked even though he was sure he knew the answer already.
"I don't remember anything. They must have done something because otherwise none of this would be the same." Kylie said referencing her bruises but also the dead bodies that had been laying all over the place.
The resting room now looked the exact same as when they arrived there making it seem like nothing bad had ever happened and they were just doing their usual routine of challenges.
"What happened yesterday?" A small voice suddenly said joining the conversation between Kylie and Jonathan. When Jonathan and Kylie both looked down they smiled when they saw Angela wide awake and wondering what on earth happened since both Jonathan and Kylie were still there and the guys from before were nowhere in sight.
"I took care of them don't worry. As for right now, the next challenge is about to start soon." Jonathan said to Angela as she stared at them waiting for her answers. When Angela heard this she couldn't help but smile while also walking toward Jonathan and hugging him tightly.
"Thanks for your help and your help." Angela said as she hugged Jonathan before moving to Kylie and hugging her as well.
"Maybe her passing out wasn't such a bad thing." Jonathan thought when he saw how innocent Angela was and how she was glad to be out of that situation.
