Chapter 33 - Blood

Seonghwa got out of the elevator, dead. The only thing he wanted to do now was to sleep. Live performances were really exhausting. You wouldn't think that on the stage. You felt the energy of your fans, and your members and the passion inside you just lit a great flame.

But once you stepped down, your legs were wobbly and painful, you were sweating and couldn't catch your breath. You had the feeling of swallowing sandpaper, your lungs were trying to escape your body and your head was spinning with a blackout of what happened on the stage.

So Hwa was glad to get to his apartment, not happy at all because of what was waiting for him there. Thankfully, his skilled makeup artist worked with the glitters that were just impossible to get down. Even now, after all the sweating and drying it with towels, there were still a lot of remaining bling-bling things on him.

Seonghwa punched in the code and opened the door, dragging his legs behind him. He took off his shoes, tired, and just let his jacket fall down on the floor, hoping he would have enough energy to pick it up later.

He expected a lot, but what he found when he arrived in the living room was something surpassing even his wildest guesses.

Lucy was bent over, poking into the cheeks of a person that was sitting on a couch, sleeping. Hwa immediately knew who that person was, and that made him even more furious. He found new energy within himself.

"What the fuck you did to my brother?!" he shouted. It wasn't usual that Hyun would be sleeping around this time. Quite the opposite. He was a night owl, writing and sleeping during the day.

She jerked herself and looked shocked at Hwa. He knew she must have been confused. Nobody knew about Hyun. The company didn't want it and Hyun wanted to be left out, too.

"Two of you?" Her voice almost couldn't be heard. Lucy carefully sat on the ground just where she was standing. Hwa bit his lips. That must have been a lot on her. The feeling of seeing her leaning over Hyun had disappeared and actually, a bit of worry was slowly creeping up inside his mind.

She probably took a shower, because her hair was somewhat wet, her face lost all the makeup she was wearing and he could see her freckles. And huge ass blue sleeping bags under her eyes. As if she didn't sleep for a week straight.

"I think I'm hallucinating. I went nuts from the loss of sleep. Yes. There is a side effect of the pills: I could be hallucinating…" she mumbled. And Seonghwa got confused. Pills? He looked at his brother again.

"You drugged my brother?" Lucy repaid him with the same confused face as he was showing and started moving her head side to side from Hyun to Hwa.

"No, I just put half of my sleeping pill into my flask," she tried to obviously downplay the situation. But Hwa got somewhat furious again, knowing it was meant for him. But now he was furious he let it go that far. So far his own brother became a victim.

He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose while walking around Lucy. Seonghwa didn't check her, he leaned over to his brother and when he saw he was breathing he calmed down.

"How long will it last?" he asked. Lucy was staring at them with her mouth gaping and Seonghwa couldn't blame her at all. It must have been a lot to digest.

"Twins," he said to help her understand it a lot better. If it was an animated film, you could see a lightbulb light up above her head.

"Of course. And I was so stupid to think I was hallucinating. The differences now make sense." Lucy stood up from the ground and sat at the conference table, facing them.

"Yeah, the birthmark," Hwa noted and showed his neck, there was nothing there.

"It's cute. But yeah, that. And he has thinner lower lip, fuller cheeks, your hair is different… How could I have been so stupid…" Seonghwa raised his brows.

She was the first one to notice all of those slight differences that they had. Because if you put the same makeup and hair on both of them. From afar, you wouldn't be able to tell their faces apart.

"I think we should stop with those pranks. It was fun, but this came too far. You should be glad the fans loved those glitters, otherwise, you would be kicked out and even I couldn't do anything with it." Seonghwa sighed and Lucy giggled.

"And you think I'm here voluntarily? But I have to agree with you. I'm sorry this happened. But I was sure it was harmless. I usually take the entire pill. But I only gave half…" Hwa nodded and leaned back, closing his eyes. The adrenaline rush he had because of his worries about his brother just passed and even bigger exhaustion set in.

"Now, when you know about Hyun... can you come here once in a while to… check on him? I can't go home that often and he can't go out almost at all. And he doesn't want to…" Seonghwa looked at her, looking vulnerable, and Lucy nodded without even wanting. It made sense. He was so similar that they could be mistaken, and surely a mob would happen.

"What's your brother's name?" Lucy smiled at him sweetly. That stung Hwa's heart. How could she smile so normally at his brother, but not at him?

"Kim Hyunjun. He is the same age as me." Lucy nodded and chuckled.

"So I'm older than him-" Seonghwa stopped her with his hand.

"Older? Since when?" He asked suddenly, using the polite version of the speech. That he wasn't using before.

"Since always. I think I had told everyone my age. Maybe you just didn't listen or weren't there during the first lesson. That's why they are all using Hapsyoche with me." Seonghwa opened his mouth. One thing she really had to say about him was that he was very polite. And now he knew she was older, and he was using impolite speech with her all the time. His heart sang.

"Why didn't you correct me?" he asked, using Hapsyoche again. Lucy laughed and noticed that Hyun jerked himself. The pills were probably wearing out already.

"Because I didn't mind. I spoke informally too. And you still called me a teacher. Now it's too late. So stop using it…" Lucy got up from the table.

"I cleaned the glitter. He will sleep if he is tired, but wake up normally. The pills only help to fall asleep and are in the body for a short time. I will go home and sleep. I don't think we should be in the same flat during the night." Lucy walked away, taking her bag and everything else with her. Seonghwa didn't get up, only waved at her.

She waved and because she was turned around, Lucy didn't notice the jacket on the floor. Her legs got tangled up in it and she fell down screaming.

The worst thing was that she fell directly on a corner of the shoe cabinet in the hall. She felt pain in her head and cursed when blood flowed down her head. It was a lot.

"Are you okay?" Seonghwa ran to her and halted himself midstep, seeing Lucy.

"I think I need an ambulance," she said calmly, one eye closed, blood dripping everywhere.
