"You know, when Edgar gave me the choice to either live as a human or become whatever I am now. First thought that crossed my mind was that you cried for me, and worried about me. I don't know about you but it was a big deal to have someone who cared for me without wanting anything in return. Just for me." August yelled out, irked that she crushed his hope just like that.
The onlookers looked at them on hearing him yelling out like that. Azrael was taken back by his sudden confession. Not knowing what to do, but drag him out of the crowd to somewhere less noisy to talk it out.
She teleported both of them back to the rooftop they were earlier, far enough from the crowd.
"Oi, what did you mean just now?" Azrael squinted her eyes. Noticing him go silent with head lowered.
"That I thought we were friends and cared about each other." August cleared up to not cause further misunderstanding or anything, while his face showed clear signs of disappointment.
