Right at the moment the edge of the sword touched, Valerie withdrew it back and stepped away.
Azrael was perplexed for a second, not until the roof underneath started to shake with sharp spikes shooting out, and piercing through Azrael's body.
Valerie huffed, relieved to see her not moving anymore. She plopped down with almost all her energy drained from it.
"Done with your antics?" Azrael gasped for air, slowly the spears disappeared as she stood straight up on her feet with no wounds.
"Who is even teaching you magic? Geez. " Azrael stretched her arms, sparing the glance at Valerie.
Val was already on the verge of giving up, every part of her body was drained of the amount of energy she used up on her. On the other hand, Azrael didn't even have a scratch, even the scratch she gave her earlier already healed with no scars.
"Please let him go. Just one time, turn a blind eye to it." Valerie pleaded, knowing that she can't win against her even if she uses all her might.
