Azrael felt a sharp stabbing pain in her chest. She peeked at it to find a small crack on her skin. Azrael knew very well what that meant.
She plopped back on the bed, putting her arm over her eyes, tired to think out of a way any more. It was useless. Fate was already sealed.
Just then, August returned to the room thinking she was fully asleep. Azrael instantly got up, with him holding a book in his hand. Azrael laid back down too tired to sit straight and with the chest pain killing her.
"Not going to train with Edgar today?" Azrael asked, seeing him sit down by the window.
"Hmm. No. I already cleared the basics." August answered, focusing on his reading of the book.
"Woah! I didn't know you were a fast learner." Azrael was amazed hearing his words. It takes a lot of time to master a skill.
