The meadow was beautiful. The trees were in full bloom because it was the Lunar eclipse. If a werewolf is turned on an eclipse they become more powerful than normal. Especially if it's the Lunar eclipse. Same with if a wolf makes their first kill, if they leave it at the altar they will gain new powers.
"There. She's here. Now what are we going to do?"
"Sacrifice her. What else?"
Leaning down to make sure she wouldn't feel being flung, he peered at her. Suddenly she grinned at him.
"James! She's alive!"
"No, she's not. She's not breathing.
"She just grinned at me!"
"Yeah yeah. Whatever." James turned away and started scouting the perimeter.
"I know I saw you grin." Rhys hissed at her.
"You're actually correct," responded Ash, flinging her knife at his heart. Instinct kicking in, he flung himself wildly at her. Knowing that this was a wolf's instead she ducked and cut him. When James came back he saw that the human had Rhys with a knife at his neck. A silver knife.
"Well, James. How are you? My name is Ash." grinned the lady
"What are you doing! Also isn't Ash a boy name? Are you a guy!?"
"What?! No! My real name is Ashella. I hate that name. So I go by Ash. Why the heck would I want to be a boy?"
"Because guys are faster, stronger, smarter, better, and a lot cooler."
"Tell that to Rhys. You know. The great Ultima is caught by a weak human female? Man, that's sad."
"How do you know that I'm/he's the Ultima?!" James and Rhys demanded
"Wow. I thought you'd know. For one, his eyes kept swapping between brown and blue."
"Blue? I thought that they could only turn red."
"Same."
"Wow. The Ultima doesn't even know about it. Geez. What do they teach you? They teach us, humans, more than you apparently. More about you guys."
"You're a human! You can't defeat us werewolves! We're invincible!"
'James, cut the stupid act! She'll be able to see right through it!'
"Really. Then why do the old werewolves die?" Ash questioned
"Because!"
"Oh! I know how to figure out if you're lying! Did you forget that I have Rhys here?"
'Why do I like that she's saying my name? She could have full power over me if she knew! What the heck is wrong with me?'
"I give up." James was pulling out his throwing knife! Flinging it with all of his strength he aimed for her heart.
"Not so fast." dogged Ash. Flinging her knife backward, she pinned Rhys to a tree, without looking! "That was a dirty trick."
"Wolves play with dirt!"
"Don't you play fair though?"
"No!"
'James you sack of lying potatoes! We do fight fair! How she know that apparently, my eyes can turn blue? She knows more about the Ultima than me!' panicked Rhys, 'Maybe I can get this stupid knife out. Crap! It's the one I put back on her belt! I armed her!' pulling at the knife he managed to pull it out. Right before he threw it at her it glowed white and swung around and pinned him back to the tree. This time around the neck. (It pinned him sitting down)
"Trying to double up on me? You can't!" lunging Ash drove another knife at James.
"Hah! That's what you think!" he dogged and cut at her neck. Striking her at just the right spot he knocked her out. Thinking something else he called, "There! I stunned her! Rhys! Come claw her neck off!"
"Can't move. What are you? An idiot?!" what Rhys really was thinking was, 'Why'd you kill such a beautiful creature! She was absolutely gorgeous! Now she's dead! That was a killing blow! You idiot! Now we have to eat her! She could have told me more about the blue eyes. Well I mean I can now see what was under her eyepatch.'
"Where'd that knife come from!? Here. Let me help." It was Rain. The woman that Rhys was to mate with. The one person he absolutely hated!
"Gee. Thanks, Rain. I was attacking this girl." Rain removed the knife.
"Girl! Where! Oh, my grass! What did you do to her!" cried Rain running to her
'I do have to admit. She looks absolutely dreadful.' Rhys thought guiltily. Ash was covered in blood, her hair was unbraided and in a giant knot. Her shoes were gone and she had cuts and scratches all over her legs and arms. A giant scar was visible on her arm. It had a big scratch over it too. The worst was that she had a huge cut down her left leg. It went from mid-thigh to past her ankle. Rhys couldn't tell if it was there before or not.
"Hello? Please wake up? You killed her!" accused Rain pointing at both James and Rhys.
"I know! I'm so cool!" boasted James. Out of nowhere, Rain attacked him.
"Rain! Stop! Please!" begged Rhys.
"Fine. He deserves to die though. He killed an innocent girl! She's not even 16! She's 15! What the heck is wrong with you!? She could die! We have to take her to the village! Now! Before she loses more blood!" tearing the bottom part off her oversized shirt she quickly wrapped it around as much of Ash's leg as possible. "Rhys! You carry her! You're the strongest and the fastest of us. Hurry! No eating her or I'll kill you. I mean it!" growled Rain.
"Geez! Okay! Okay!" Rhys picked her up and ran back to the village
"Why'd you have to come and ruin the fun? It was getting to the exciting part!" whined James.
"She is a wounded young lady! Stay here!" Rain chased after Rhys, 'I hope she's okay. I feel like I should respect her. Why am I so concerned for a lame weakless human? Wait. All of the cuts and scratches on Rhys and James. Were they fighting each other? There's absolutely no way that the female human did that! Just hurry! I don't like that girl with my future mate!'
'What am I to do with her? After I drop her off? Do I stay and make sure that they don't kill her? Probably. Why was Rain so concerned? She used to kill every human that dared to enter 'her' woods. I feel like there's a powerful aura coming from someone in the room. But who? Not the wolves. Can't be Ash. I'll figure it out later.'
"Oh! Hello Rhys. What brings you, oh my word! What happened to her!"
'Huh. I thought that he'd be more worried that she was a human. Guess not.' glancing down Rhys realized that her hair made it look like she had ears and a tail, 'Okay.'
"Please help her. She's a human."
"Why is the ultima concerned about a human?" he asked with disgust.
"Because she's only 15! Now! Get to work! She also knows something about me. She knows about James and everything! Not the village though."
"Yes sir. But how'd she know this?"
"The humans are learning more about us from bouks!" (Books. Boo-uks)
"Bouks? They have written about us?"
"Yes! Maybe if we have one of them they'll trade! It'd be better if she wasn't nearly dead!"
"Right! Sorry! I'll take care of her immediately!" gently lifting Ash from Rhys's arms, he laid her on a bed. Turning her over, taking a bandage from the nurse he quickly wrapped her arm. "Was this always here?"
"I don't know. We meet her in the woods. By the clean path."
"Okay. Claw! Bring that bandage over here! Also the sunbeams!"
"Paste or regular?" called Claw
"Regular! And hurry! She really needs it!"
"Yes sir! Right away!" Claw suddenly stopped, realizing that she felt like switching the sunbeam with moonbeams. They look almost identical. But moonbeams are used only for alpha females. Deciding that her instincts were more important than the doctor's rule. Swapping the labels and hurrying them over, "Here."
'Those don't smell like sunbeams. What are those? Could they be? No. Moonbeams are almost impossible to catch!' wondered Rhys
"Is she okay? Will she be okay?!" panicked Rain slamming the door open.
"Yes. I believe that she will. We just gave her some sunbeams. That should keep her awake long enough for us to get the information out than to kill her." stated the doctor.
"WHAT?!" screamed Claw, Rhys, and Rain, "We don't want her dead!"
"Fine, long enough for us to learn where the worst are and to heal them. Right now all we can do is patch them up as best as we can. Claw? Get the sun herb dipped bandages."
"Okay. Doctor."
"DOCTOR!? YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO CALL ME SIR!!!"
"Sir? Is it? Well, 'Sir' guess what? You're fired." commented Rhys.
"Fired?! Well, guess what?! Your precious human is going to die! I put poison in the sunbeams she was to take! Ha! Fire me if you care! Only I know that antidote!"
'No wonder I felt like doing the moonbeams. But they'll make her stronger, maybe giving her magic! Did he put the poison in the jar or when he put them on her? I hope it was with the jar. I can clean it. Perks of being immune to sickness and poisons!' thought Claw, "She's not poisoned. I grabbed the other jar than he wanted. He told me to get the animal ones. I grabbed the werewolf one. So she's not dying. If anything she is going to wake up. With all of her memories. Or most of them. She has a wall blocking off a lot of her memories. Some are intentional. Some are locked away. Not by her. Someone meddled with her memories."
"What?!" it was James, "She won't remember my epic battle with her?' worried James.
"No, she'll remember that. She'll remember a lot more than before. I managed to get her more of her memories. We need a mindwalker though." explained Claw
"I'll get my mom! She's a mindwalker! She is so cool!" exclaimed James running out the door.
"She has something blocking me from unlocking more for her. It seems like powerful magic. It also smells like a human. Not someone we know. She doesn't remember them. They don't want her to remember them."
"I thought that humans don't have magic." startled Rain
"Imagine! A human with magic! Ha! What a bunch of bologa!" laughed James.
"James! Don't laugh! That's not nice! Besides, you brought me here. After all, Claw? What do you need me here for?" scolded Flora.
"Are you a mindwalker?" asked Claw.
"Yes, I am."
"Great! Could you try to unlock this girl's memories? Almost all of them are locked away. Some are locked away by a human with magic. We'd like to know why she is like this. Also why she has these scars."
"Scars? Pth! Humans don't have scars!" laughed James.
"Oh yeah? What is this then?" Claw gently turned Ash over, unwrapping her now almost clean leg. Revealing the huge cut that went down her leg. The fresh ones were red while this one looked like it was burned close.
"What the?! What happened to her!" cried Flora rushing over to Ash.
"We don't know."
"I got that you want me to find out why she has the old one, but about the new ones?!"
"Ask James and Rhys," pointed Rain.
"JAMES! RHYS! What did you do to her!?" shouted Flora.
"Er…" James shrank away from the furious wolf.
"James attacked her when she managed to pin me to a tree with a magic knife. Only a female could remove it. James and I both tried. Only Rain could. Same with Ash." explained Rhys.
"Ash?" asked Rain, Claw, and Flora.
"The girl. Her name is Ashella but she goes by Ash. She had a guy talking to her over this thing." He handed Claw the earbud.
"Oh. I'll try. Do you want to watch it? Cause if you want to then I'll have to have something connected to me to show you."
"Here. This should work. We used it once before. It worked perfectly." Claw handed Flora a little black cube, "Keep this with you. It'll show us right here." she pointed to a giant screen she had pulled down.
"Okay. Here I go." walking up to Ash, Flora put her hand against Ash's forehead. With a flash of light Flora fell onto Rain and the screen lit up.
