Zhijun stepped down his throne calling "Xianwu… the ominous star who soothed nightingale, Scythe Siwang ren? Just what is going on…?" he questioned. Xianwu looking at his sight descending in front of her bowed low. However, before she could, Zhijun had already clasped Xianwu's arm pulling it up. "Please… forgive me." she apologized. "Did you do something wrong? What did you do? Tell me." he asked pulling her up. Xianwu stood straight before him. Her head hanging low facing the ground wordless, unable to look at him. Silence befell around. Zhijun sighed, "Well don't worry about it."
Turning around he spoke, "Follow me." With a slight nod Xianwu walked behind him. "How's the condition of your wings?" he questioned out of the blue. Xianwu blinked her eyes suddenly responding, "Its fine… my lord. They are glowing brightly." Zhijun walked forward, "Xianwu, do you remember how you would rush to visit the Heavenly palace every day in the past ever since you descended. Until the very day you passed away. It was the same routine as usual for me to wait for you here on my throne. After words, every day I would sit on the throne and gaze at the heavenly city at that time in which I expected your visit since, the last 1000 years. As if it had become a habit. And, now here you are visiting me again. When I least expected. It seems as if a miracle had bought you back." he told.
Xianwu listened to him silently, "Reminiscing the past… I wonder why he's telling me all that? It's not that I don't feel embarrassed about It." she thought awkwardly. "The first time you visited me to get your mission, I told you to be safe. Yet, you neglected pushing yourself into trouble. Without spiritual powers or getting a helping hand. Did you think I did not know that?" he asked eyeing her.
"Ah… so he knew how I solved those cases. I wonder who that Heavenly supreme is to provide information like this to him. If turns out to be Shijei and Senlin, then I won't be surprised…" Xianwu thought awkwardly. "Xianwu, if your apology now was for everything that happened in the present then don't mention it. Or if it was for the past then just forget it. Didn't you said that yourself?" he asked while reminding her.
"For what happened in the past…" Xianwu thought. "How can I possibly forget?" she asked with an embarrassed sigh. "If you can't then move on. You will be needed for many things ahead." Xianwu smiled with a sigh, "My lord, this Yue Xianwu before you, is just a mere spirit born into an audacious world, living under the mercy of the Heavenly realm and the mortal world. I merely assist you to grasp the thread of my own life. How could I possibly be needed?" she asked.
"I just wish to live peacefully without causing any further troubles. I have already caused immeasurable disasters I don't wish to cause anymore." She whispered while gazing at a beautiful fountain which flowed gracefully amid the walls of the Heavenly palace. Zhijun turned around to face her. "Xianwu, why undervaluing yourself so much? Ever since, you returned. You handled those two significant cases on your own very well. Except, this time… were you backed up by someone really extraordinary?" he questioned. Xianwu looked at him surprised.
"Huh?" she spoke. "No! My lord I swear Yeying had nothing to do with it at all. And neither did I do anything. I just happened to run into a very interesting child ever since I descended to the mortal world. His abilities indeed exceeded mortal human in the way I thought however, I only categorized him in the category of a genius born in a millennium. I travelled and spent a couple of days with him. I never thought so much about it. Since I already left the demon Inferno realm…" Xianwu told as she suddenly ended her sentence.
At that moment, Zhijun too stopped in his tracks. "Ah, Yes… there was one thing I wanted to ask him…" she thought. Looking at Zhijun Xianwu questioned, "Your highness, by any means when I visited you last time, did you know that I won't be able to stay in the Inferno realm anymore? Is that why you proposed me to visit the Yue kingdom?"
Zhijun stood silent soon responding, "Yes… I knew." Xianwu stared at him with a smile, "So, I see…" she thought while staring at the fountain on the side. Zhijun looked at her asking, "Won't you question me why I didn't tell you or why did I kept it a secret, when I should've told you before?" Xianwu smiled, "My Lord… who am I to question you? It's thanks to you that I can even live up to this point. Moreover, I had already assumed that there could be only two reasons for you to not to tell. The first one would be that you wanted me to know something like that myself so I don't mistrust you for binding me to the Heavenly realm or you didn't wanted to see me shocked like I was at that time when Yeying told me that." She concluded. Zhijun stared at her suddenly asking, "And, what if there was a third selfish reason? You still won't ask?"
Xianwu smiled, "Then there is no further reason for me to dwell on this anymore. Since, I already trust you and your decisions for me with all my heart." Upon her words Zhijun stared at her surprised.
"Well coming back, you said everything in the meeting before, do you think anyone there believed you? If you would've said any more than that would you have expected someone to trust your words?" he asked. Xianwu shook her head right and left. "I know. But, whatever I said was the truth. If nobody believes me then it's not my fault. I left the inferno city for good and I haven't met Yeying long since then. However, thank you for standing up to me and helping me out. It saved me from the hands of common embarrassment." She thanked.
"I know, Xianwu. Since you promised me, and I trust you greatly myself. You would never conspire with the inferno realm. However, since you were reborn in the inferno city and your relationship with the Demon sovereign of the inferno city is quite good. I have a feeling that it might actually be difficult for me to entrust you with the mission at hand." He told.
