Xianwu instantly remembered, "Right! Where is Senlin? I haven't seen her since I came back." she asked looking around. Shijei too looked around, "Ah! She went back towards the tribe with the herb since it will be more than 24 hours to save that child." Xianwu gasped, "Right! Come on let's go back. We have to save that child…!" She grabbed Bingwen in her arms however, she instantly remembered Hongqi's words that he threw the child into the pit as well. Xianwu turned around to gaze at Shijei, "But… Hongqi threw him… in the pit…" Shijei gazed at her baffled, "What the hell are you talking about?"
Xianwu flipped her had sideways, "No! I clearly heard he said that! Even Xiao yin heard it right?" she asked turning to face Xiao yin who nodded as well. "Then why in the world is Senlin calling me again and again to hurry up with the rest of the herbs?" Shijei asked. Xianwu was puzzled. "Could it be Hongqi lied?" she asked. "It could be the case…" Xiao yin told. However there was only one way to find out. Grabbing Mo Bingwen Xianwu rushed towards the forest making their way towards the tribe.
The moment they reached there, they found Senlin grinding the jade herb into a medicine feeding the child and the others who seem to be affected. "They are alive…" Xianwu gasped in relief. "Of course they are! Why would you believe in Hongqi's words now of all times?" Shije asked her slightly annoyed. At that moment she laid Bingwen on a rag rushing towards Senlin.
"How is he?" she asked assisting her. "He's fine now. I gave him the medicine and the others as well who seem to be affected by the after effects of the plague." Senlin replied. Xianwu smiled, "Thank you… Senlin." Upon her words Senlin gazed at her blinking her eyes, "What was that?" "Huh?" Xianwu asked puzzled. "Ah! No it's nothing. I am glad, since, you came back early and healed him. Or it might have been too late." She explained. "Since I thought he was really throw in the pit, silly me…" she thought with a sigh.
Senlin without a further word continued her work with a blackened expression. "Thank you so much…" the man thanked. Xianwu however stared at him seriously. "Mister, we did our best to save your child and succeeded too. But, at the same time I also told you about your tribe leader's death. Doesn't it affect you in any way?" she asked. The man halted.
And, that was something Xianwu needed to know. Thunder master only took with him a handful of people towards the heavenly realm to be judged, but what about the others? They were also a part of Hongqi's tribe. Don't they deserve the same trial? The man looked at her, "To tell you the truth… I thank you… for freeing us all from his grasp…" Xianwu eyed at him in wonder. Senlin, Shijei and Xiao yin too gazed at him.
"And why is that so?" she asked. "Hongqi for his revenge to avenge his four fathers since the tumble of the silent city made us work underneath him for a long time. After facing the wrath from the Heavenly city we wanted to turn over a new page. However, the ones who sided with Hongqi were more powerful than us who revolted and forced us to side with them. Since then, we were forced to live in this tribe under his command obeying his orders. Moreover, the ones who went with you before… were all sided with him to find Mo Bingwen to kill him since they thought the human eating corpse were all his fault…"
Xianwu glanced at Mo Bingwen who slept soundly on a rag. "Don't you resent him?" she asked. The man and the other tribesmen rejected, "We don't resent him… since he was once our ancestor's child as well. It was the chief ancestor's fault for being greedy and forcing him to do wrong…" Xianwu nodded asking, "Then why is it that you don't turn into human eating corpses when he is right beside you?" The man smiled, "Maybe he is not afraid of us… just like we don't resent him… he doesn't as well. But who knows the real reason…"
Xianwu gazed at Bingwen as she smiled, "So the reason to trigger his curse was fear in the first place… I should have known… Since Bingwen was really afraid of Hongqi and his people that he was unable to control his curse and they turned into human eating corpses." She thought. "Mister, there is one last thing I wanted to ask… do you how Bingwen's curse could be cured?" the man shook his head, "I'm afraid I do not know since it was giving by his brother who is a Heavenly supreme. Illiterate people like us have no idea, please forgive me."
Xianwu smiled shaking her head. The sky had already started turning dark. It was time to go back home. Packing their stuff back. They were all ready to depart. The boy was back to normal and was conscious after a while. "Mister, what are you going to do now?" Xianwu asked the man. "We will… leave this place and settle a new. Our children should have a bright future, and for that we will start a new beginning."
Looking at Xiao yin she smiled, "It's good for them… I wonder if Xiao yin would be tired after all this as well?" she thought picking up Bingwen in her arms. Upon the sight Senlin walked forward. Passing her a clay jar she evaded her gaze, "Here… keep him in this jar. He is still weak. Weak humans can be kept inside to replenish their energy until there condition is stable. Furthermore, were you thinking on walking back all the way with him in your arms?" she asked slightly cross.
Xianwu blinked her eyes eventually smiling. Taking the pot from her arms, she gently settled Bingwen beside it casting a talisman. Instantly Bingwen's figure vanished. Xianwu wrapped the jar keeping it safely in her arms. The tribesmen looked at her in awe. "Young lady…" the man stuttered. "Could it be… you are a Heavenly supreme?" he asked. Xianwu blinked her eyes in slight surprise. "Ah…! Am I caught?" she thought confused. Shijei sighed, "If you know it now then don't make a fuss about it. I have been dying since I kept it a secret!" Xianwu apologized, "Forgive me for keeping it a secret…" the man smiled, "No worries. No worries. After all you helped us. We are grateful to you."
Shijei who had taken out his paintbrush drew a teleportation array on a brick wall while the tribesmen gazed at him awed. After a while, when the array was completed Senlin activated it. Waving the tribesmen goodbye one last time the four of them stepped inside the array. "Take a lot's of care, young lady. May we meet again!" waved the tribesmen. Xianwu smiled looking back at them one last time as her figure vanished closing the array which instantly disappeared.
In an instant, Xianwu was in front of her rundown cottage door. The cool and calm breeze of home welcomed her. Without a further second of wait Xianwu pushed the door, which opened with a creak. Lighting the candle, Xianwu laid out a rag. Xiao yin followed behind her seating himself over it once she was done. Looking at Senlin and Shijei who stood outside with their arms crossed looking here and there she invited, "Both of you, what are you doing standing there outside? Come in." hearing her invitation at first the two of them hesitated for while however, in the end they still came in.
Seeing that, Xiao yin again rolled his eyes slightly cross. Xianwu smiled awkwardly. Suddenly remembering, Xianwu unclothed the jar which kept Bingwen inside. Gazing at the three of them Xianwu spoke, "General Shijei, General Senlin, thank you for all you hard work once again. Why don't you stay for a meal?" she asked sitting beside Xiao yin. Gazing at the two of them Shijei and Senlin stared slightly cross. It was clearly seen on their faces as their mouth twitched.
