Xianwu and Meizhen both entered a round pavilion which floated in midair. With four pillars and anciently drawn runes the sight looked majestic. Even so, Xianwu kept quiet and sat on the bench with hairs covering her eyes. Meizhen taking a deep breath sighed. Looking at Xianwu beside her she gently pushed her long hairs up her face. Little by little every strand came into her grasp just like a mother who ties her daughter's hairs. Xianwu's painful face soon came in her sight. Meizhen was baffled but she still tied them none of them saying a single word.
Xianwu feeling her fingertips gently touching her hairs whispered slowly "Meizhen… I'm sorry…" her voice was so light that only Meizhen in front of her could hear clearly. Meizhen smiled "Sorry for what? Okay, forget everything and tell me do you remember this place?" Even if Xianwu loses her eyes she would never forget the scent and sense of relief this place provided. Meizhen continued "When we were young and I would cry endlessly. You'll always bring me here and tell me: It's okay. Don't cry! You'll succeed your sister one day. And today I am the one consoling you."
Xianwu nodded lifting up her arms she hugged Meizhen. Keeping her head on her stomach as she asked "Where did I go wrong…?" Meizhen ruffled her hairs ever so lightly. "Nowhere! You never went wrong? The one who mocks you, who degrades you, who hurts you and who blames you! They are the ones who are wrong… they are the only ones who are wrong. Xianwu you are still Xianwu. Not strong, not great, not a heavenly Supreme! Just Yue Xianwu! Who was born in the mortal world, who worked hard every day, who loved her family, who loved me Meizhen! You are that Xianwu… in my eyes you will always be the same little Xianwu, who would act like my prince. And nothing can change it!" she claimed.
"Tears don't suit you, a smile does. Words don't suit you your actions does!" she added. Xianwu buried herself deeper in her embrace. Meizhen asked gently "Where did you go and what happened? Tell me." Xianwu spoke, her voice hoarse "To… General Senlin and Shijei…" Meizhen asked again "For what?" Xianwu replied "To compensate for destroying their palaces…"
Meizhen dumbfounded for a second, sighed "Did you destroy them?" she questioned. "No… I didn't even knew until they told me themselves…" Meizhen laughed "Pfft! Haha! Silly Xianwu, the one who really destroyed them didn't even care and just look at you! Haha!!" Xianwu looked up at her "You knew, who did that?" she asked puzzled. "Demon king of the Inferno city right? Well I don't really like him, but I'm thankful to him for once!" Meizhen guessed.
Xianwu flustered hugged her again "I feel like an idiot!" she said. Meizhen laughed. "But they should really mind their words, if they talk to you like that once again, tell me at once! I'll let them have their butts smacked by my sister!" Meizhen advised proudly. Xianwu instantly burst into laughter. Meizhen smiled back. "Will you go back to the inferno city?" she questioned. Xianwu nodded replying "I was really in such a good mood before…" Meizhen interrupted "But those two ruined it!! I feel like kicking them right now!" she roared in anger.
"Okay, okay. Angry bird calm down." Xianwu grabbing her hand settled her beside her. Suddenly she remembered "Meizhen, what about the demonic wolves from before?" Meizhen quickly gasped "Right! I asked my sister to find out about it as well but secretly, because if I would ask Shashou the matter would also go in the ears of the Heavenly emperor and then it would be a great mess."
Meizhen continued "My sister told me that from the looks of their arrival in the city was mostly due to Li Qianyi residence in the forest. Demonic wolves are normally attracted by the scent of someone evil to order them. But, now if she's gone there won't be any." Xianwu pondered "But Meizhen, I was sure they were the other kind, the ones who attacked the Yue kingdom in the past. I can never forget them! Their eyes and their murderous aura I can never forget them." She spoke worriedly. "Calm down, my sister is trying to find out, and once she does. She will discuss with you in person. Don't worry!" Meizhen calmed her down.
Xianwu nodded as she thought "Yue's kingdom's last war and the reason for their utter defeat was Demonic wolves and the rampage of the Millennium Eternal Abyss dragon… my two greatest fears…" Xianwu gulped anxiously. Meizhen spoke up "Xianwu… don't think too much. The demonic wolves were puppets of the abyss dragon but the Demon Sovereign of the Inferno city killed it centuries ago… I don't think they can return anymore"
Xianwu instantly looked at Meizhen shocked "Who killed it?!" she questioned in shock. Meizhen slightly confused replied back "The Demon Sovereign of the Inferno city…" Xianwu had never imagined that would be that case. The Millennium Eternal Abyss dragon had hibernated after rampaging the Yue kingdom and led to her death. It's not that it was in this world anymore. It was killed by Yeying long. However, killing it was no joke. A demon king did that. And in case, Yeying would have to lose something important to kill it too. "What did he had to go through to kill it…?" Xianwu thought bewildered. "Even I in my Heavenly form was never able to do that."
Xianwu wondered "Why would he fight that thing?" Meizhen replied with chills leaving her spine "Who knows? Demon sovereigns are scary. I never want to even go close to them." "Poor Xianwu, where did you get stuck~ I can't even pull you out!" Meizhen cried. Xianwu cracked a smile. Meizhen looking around pulled Xianwu up "Come on, you made a mess in front of those two. They might be wondering what I would be doing with you." Meizhen taking a talisman again teleported the two of them in front of Fenghuang and Shentong.
Fenghuang had just completed the teleportation array. "Are you alright?!" he asked worriedly. Xianwu nodded. Shentong sighed in relief. "Xianwu, the teleportation array is complete. You can go to the Inferno city now." Fenghuang smiled. "Thank you…" Xianwu replied as she entered the array and the array vanished. "Thank you… everyone." Her voice soon vanished as well. "Be safe…" said Shentong as he looked at Meizhen. "What really happened?" he asked. Fenghuang looked at the two of them curiously.
Meizhen sighed "Nothing… Xianwu, in my eyes is the strongest even now. But her past is her biggest enemy. If there is someone in this world who can break her out of the shackles of her past, then I would be thankful to him/her from the bottom of my heart." She stated. Shentong and Fenghuang smiled at each other. "If you think so, then don't worry. She has already gone to Yeying!" Shentong fanned himself proudly. Meizhen looked at him with distrustful gaze as she taunted "And he is the first person in my blacklist, whom I'll never trust!" Fenghuang laughed on her comment.
