Logan and Daphne went back to where the battle occurred.
"Isn't it dangerous to let them leave like that, what about the possibility of them speaking about the existence of vampires?" Logan asked Daphne when they got to their town.
"Not really, the organization always handles things like this. Also, the people were hypnotized by the youths, they wouldn't even recall anything that happened." Daphne explained.
"Do all vampires have this ability as well, or a selected few?" Logan asked, he recalled Daphne had also used this ability before.
"A selected few, there are arrays of abilities available to a vampire. For instance, there's the gift of visions which my father has, there are also others." Daphne replied.
"How come werewolves are not blessed with such gifts? All we have is unbridled rage." Logan couldn't help but complain.
"Werewolves are strong, very strong." Daphne said.
"Well, I can't refute this." Logan said, after some time he asked, "Can we get going now?"
"Yeah." Daphne nodded.
When the duo took the survivors to the town, they got some clothes for Logan who had changed into them. Although he was not comfortable with it, it wasn't like he had much of a choice. It was either that, or he went back with his ripped trousers and no shirt.
After getting back to their town, the duo separated and Logan rushed back to his place while Daphne went to her place.
They still had to go to school the next day, so they needed to get home before it was daybreak. Daphne was okay, but Logan needed to ensure he was in his room.
He got home about an hour before sunrise, there was no need to sleep since it wouldn't really affect him, so he decided to stay awake and reflect on the battle they had.
From all he grasped from the battle, he realized he needed to train more when it came to fighting. But fighting against supernatural beings was definitely different from when he was fighting against humans, so he didn't know how his training was going to come about.
'Maybe I'll ask Daphne to train with me.' He pondered.
It was soon daybreak and he went to school with Stephanie as usual. He met up with Castiel in class. The day went by pretty quickly.
One more day went by and he finally got to Daphne who only resumed classes that day.
Outside Dixon High.
Logan rushed up to Daphne as she was leaving.
"I want to train to become stronger." He told her his intention the moment she turned around.
"Okay." She replied casually.
When she saw Logan staring at her, she finally understood what he meant by his statement.
"You want to train with me?" She asked, a little surprised.
"Yes." Logan nodded.
"Okay, 11 p.m, don't be late." Daphne gave him time for their training session.
"Where?" Logan asked.
"The abandoned factory, that should be a good place." Daphne replied after giving it some thought.
Training with Logan would also make her advance faster, so she didn't mind.
Logan nodded before rushing back to meet up with Castiel who was waiting for him outside.
The duo went over to pick up Stephanie before heading home. When Logan got to his place, his father wasn't around, as usual.
He had gotten used to not being with his father since he rarely stayed at home since the death of his mother. Wherever he heard of supernatural incidents, he would always rush over.
Until a few months ago he felt his father was just wasting his time, only after his personal encounter with werewolves and vampires did he find his father's gut feelings to be terrifying. A lot of people would've given up after so long, but not in his case, he was persistent, even after not finding any clues for years now.
Logan stayed with Stephanie all through the day, later that day his father returned, exhausted.
11:10 p.m. The abandoned factory in Dixon Town.
Daphne looked at her phone and muttered, "He's late."
She just finished speaking when she sensed the presence of someone rushing over. Looking at the entrance of the factory, she saw Logan's figure.
"Sorry, coming out this late wasn't as easy as I expected it." Logan apologized the moment he came into the place.
Daphne didn't say a word and rushed at him.
"Oh, we've started already?" Logan was a little taken aback, but he still prepared himself to fight against Daphne.
When their hands collided, Logan realized there was a difference between a Rank Two vampire and a Rank Three vampire. Daphne sent him flying with a single blow, even when he actively tried to block the attack.
Crash! Bang!
He crashed into the empty barrels by the side and they gave off a loud sound. Before he could stand up, Daphne was already standing before him, she grabbed him by his neck and threw him in the other direction.
Logan's back slammed into the iron poles in the factory before falling to the ground. This time, he made sure to land on his feet.
Daphne's figure appeared in front of him, and he threw his protruding claws at her. She dodged it easily and kicked him, sending him flying once again.
Logan was currently in a half-transformed state, he had some hairs on his face, and his pupils were bright blue, different from how they looked when he was fighting against the vampires some days ago. This time, he took off his shirt before entering this state since he didn't want to ruin all his clothes, and shoes as well.
Daphne didn't feel bothered with his current state, she continued her attack on him. Logan had finally been able to find his balance after the first attack.
She still had the upper hand, but Logan wasn't letting her get away easily. Unfortunately, she was not only stronger than he was, but she was also faster as well.
The more Logan tried to hold her back, the easier it was for her to evade his attacks. In his half-transformed state, Logan wasn't at his strongest, but he was stronger than when he was still in his human form.
They continued fighting, destroying most of the already damaged equipments that were lying on the ground. Logan would occasionally send Daphne flying, but overall, she had the higher advantage.
After over ten minutes of fighting, Logan was bruised all over, but he was healing at an unprecedented pace.
Daphne seeing this was a little shocked, Logan's healing ability was far higher than hers, and it was not something that should've been possible.
While thinking about this, she also recalled the strange glowing purple marks she saw on his body whenever he entered his full werewolf form.
'That's odd, why's he so different from the others?'
