Chapter 14 - Chapter 14

Castiel looked at Logan, and his expression changed drastically. The reason for this was that the bandage he was using to hide his injury from the accident had fallen off, and to his greatest surprise, there wasn't even a scar there.

'How's this possible?' He thought in shock. His gaze turned to Daphne who was standing in front of him. She seemed to know something about this.

"What's going on?" He asked Daphne while standing behind her.

Although he didn't want to admit it, he was a little afraid of Logan after he sent him flying.

"You've already seen him in this state, so there's no use in hiding it from you. First of all, how good are you at keeping secrets?" Daphne asked. She couldn't just tell him about this.

Well, even if he tried to tell others, no one would believe him anyway.

"Good, very good." Castiel replied.

"Alright, your friend has been turned into a werewolf." Daphne said straightforwardly.

She didn't mince her words and hearing it coming from Daphne's mouth, Castiel was stunned.

"Wait, how do you know?" Castiel asked.

'Don't tell me she's one as well. Could it be that she's the one attacking people all this while?' A shocked expression appeared on Castiel's face, and he retreated a few steps, afraid of being killed.

He had heard of how people were killed by werewolves.

"We don't have time for that now. Apparently, your friend is still able to control his emotions thanks to your influence. He doesn't want to hurt you, so he's keeping himself from completely transforming. But he can't keep this up for long." Daphne explained to Castiel.

Logan was overhearing the conversation from where he was standing, but he still didn't trust Daphne.

"What can I do to help?" Castiel asked.

He didn't want his friend to go around killing people. According to what he knew, he had a little fallout with the football team players a few minutes ago. What if he runs out and starts killing them?

At the thought of this, he suddenly recalled the incident that happened earlier this week. The gang members that were killed by a wolf during the night.

'Don't tell me he's the one responsible.' Castiel's eyes nearly bulged out as he looked at Logan.

Logan saw Castiel's gaze and easily figured out why he was staring at him that way.

"Cass…" He tried to speak, but his voice was barely audible now. All that came out was a low growl.

"Do you know where we can get chains?" Daphne asked.

"Chains?" Castiel was confused.

"We have a blood moon today, and it makes wolves extremely aggressive. I can keep him in check even after he has transformed, but it'll be better if there's a chain, at least to save me the struggle." Daphne explained.

"Oh, alright. I'll go get some." Castiel turned around decisively. Although he was still slightly lost about what was happening, he wanted to help his friend.

Logan, seeing that Castiel was leaving, felt a little agitated. He felt Daphne only wanted to send Castiel away so she could kill him easily.

"I'm honestly here to help. If you kill any innocent human, then you'll be in trouble with the organization. They will not take in the fact that you are a newly converted wolf, they will kill you regardless." Daphne tried to calm Logan down.

Logan however, still didn't believe her.

"Look, the only reason I'm not hunting you down for those men you killed is because they're gang members. It doesn't change the fact that I'll be in trouble with the organization, but at least since they're bad people, there is a way to navigate through it. But killing any of the students here just because you were annoyed will only make things worse for you." Daphne approached him, "Calm down and let me help."

Her voice was clear and soothing, and for some reason, Logan felt himself calm down, slightly. Although not completely, he shouldn't be able to transform for now.

When Daphne saw him calm down, she heaved a sigh of relief. Werewolves were stronger than vampires, and if Logan were to transform on a blood moon, even for her she didn't have a hundred percent confidence. From what she knew, she couldn't rate Logan as a normal werewolf.

What she just did was a special ability of vampires, hypnosis.

A few minutes later, Castiel came rushing in with large chains.

Daphne was taken by surprise when she saw it.

'Don't tell me he has been preparing for something like this.' She was a little confused.

Castiel's speed in acquiring the chains was a little too fast, and he even found the perfect size for Logan. Of course, the chains wouldn't be able to hold off Logan completely, but Daphne was prepared for that.

"Hey, we're going to use this to restrain you, please cooperate with us." Daphne said while taking the chains from Castiel.

Castiel couldn't go close to Logan since there was a chance that he might lose control any minute. She on the other hand still had a chance against him even if he did.

Logan nodded when he heard her say this. He also didn't want to kill anyone, but he knew from his previous experience that if he transforms, then the football team is in trouble.

Daphne used the chains to restrain him while giving Castiel the go-ahead to padlock the chains for added security.

When they were done with that, she took out a strange purplish flower from her jacket's pocket.

The second the flower appeared, Logan's response was one of instinctive fear.

"What's that?" Castiel rushed to block Daphne from approaching him.

"Relax, this is for added security. Do you think these chains can stop him once he transforms?" Daphne asked as she placed the flower in something and crushed it.

Logan started to show signs of increased agitation as he perceived the flower. He tried to free himself from the chains, but it was tightly secured by Castiel and Daphne, so it was almost impossible for the current him to do so.

After crushing the flower, Daphne placed them in three locations, one at his front, the other two on his right and left respectively.

"What's that?" Castiel asked when he saw Logan's reaction to the flowers.

"Wolfsbane." Daphne's reply was short
