Chereads / Legend of the Divine Swordsman / Chapter 26 - 26. Spartacus

Chapter 26 - 26. Spartacus

It took about a week, for the group to enter the Capital City of Sparta Kingdom, Spartacus.

Unlike Solan which wouldn't even be considered a Kingdom, and Valta which is nothing but a small Kingdom situated in the outskirts, Sparta Kingdom is a mammoth, and also one of the major powerhouse In the continent.

After Leonhart Empire, Sparta Kingdom has the most number of Knights and Swordsman, as it constantly promotes it to the public by conducting various Sword Competitions, It is also called the Kingdom of Mercenaries.

As Samuel saw through the window of the , people living here , despite gender, age or colour all of them seem robust and healthy, as if doing physical labour is a necessity for living here.

"Then I'll go and register myself in the Competition, I'll meet you guy's at the end of the Competition." Bane said before leaving for the registration office of the Competition.

"Let's go, we need to finish what we are here to do" Hemdall grumbled.

Samuel soon began to follow Hemdall before they reached a shabby hut with a moon shaped sigil engraved on the door.

Hemdall knocked the door thrice before the door opened and a shabby looking old man with a rugged clothes around him opened the door.

"how can I help you ?" old man asked with a rigid tone.

"Tell me the location, where the representatives of Vulcunus Sword Academy are staying in" Hemdall inquired.

Old man didn't give much of an expression before answering

"1000 Gold Coins"

Hemdall took a pouch containing the given amount, and handed it down to the old man.

After counting the money inside the pouch the old man replied.

" Holy Spring Inn located in the Royal Street right down this alley."

" Do you Know the name of the representative who came ?" Hemdall inquired.

Old man went silent for a minute before replying.

"1500 Gold Coins "

***

"Is this the right place ?, you know you're a very lucky guy, who could have guessed that the representative would be my instructor" hemdall scuffled while standing in front of a luxurious Inn, right in front of him.

"Is it really alright to barge in without any further notice " Samuel inquired.

"Haah!, Don't be such a wimp. It's just a student who came to greet his teacher" Hemdall quickly refuted.

'But it would still be considered rude to just barge into someone's resting place ' Samuel thought, but kept it to himself.

Hemdall went in, and knocked the door where apparently the representative of Vulcunus Sword Academy is staying at.

"It's been a long time hemdall, I thought you dropped death, it's a great misfortune for the continent that you're still alive" Inside the room a gentle but rigid tone answered before opening the door.

In front of them was a lean and slim old man with grey hairs and beard and a small frame of glasses on his face, he looked more like a scholar rather than a Swordsman.

But Samuel didn't let his looks decieve him, Cause his master already warned him that the person in interest is an Emperor Rank Swordsman and one of the chief elder of the Vulcunus Academy.

"It's nice to see you too master Kramer , and I think you mispoke ' misfortune' for 'fortune' ". Hemdall replied.

"I stand by my statement, and let me repeat it again so you could hear it clearly" Kramer coughed his throught and screamed

"IT'S A GREAT MISFORTUNE FOR THE CONTINENT THAT YOU ARE ALIVE "

The commotion it caused after hearing a growl from a Emperor Rank entity was huge, as it caused quite a bit of stirr around the surroundings.

"Master Kramer calm down a bit, I was just here to greet you"

"Hmph!, Do you take me for a fool ?, Tell me why are you here or just get lost." Kramer growled.

Looking at the situation, he could tell his master wasn't someone with a good reputation in the academy.

to be honest given the cranky nature of hemdall he would be surprised if anyone was on good terms with him, probably if the person in front of him wasn't Hemdall's master, he would have already thrown them out.

"Actually I am not here for myself , but my disciple, I am here to seem permission to teach him the Vulcunus swordsmanship."

"A self conceited guy like you has a disciple." An evident surprised look appeared in Kramer's face before replying "It's not that simple, if he learns our swordsmanship, he would be considered a part of Vulcunus sword Academy, and should be qualified enough....."

Before finishing his sentence Kramer looked at Samuel before giving a nod.

"I see, so you managed to land yourself a genius, How old are you kid ?" Kramer asked while looking curiously at Samuel.

"14, I'll turn 15 soon in couple of weeks." Samuel answered truthfully.

"I see, You are not lacking in any means compared those core disciples of the Academy"

"Hemdall you should quickly sent him to the academy, don't ruin this bright kid's future with your childish gimmicks"

Listening to this statement from his former master hemdall immediately shook his head before replying.

"No!, Even I could teach him what you're teaching him, no I could provide even a better platform than the Academy" Hemdall continued"And does it even matter whether he attends the academy or not as long as he is a disciple of one of the graduates, and receives the permission from the academy."

Kramer gave a deep thought, as what hemdall said was not wrong, as long he is officially becomes a disciple of the academy, and learns their swordsmanship , it doesn't really matter where he is, but he was concerned about handing a young man with such great talent to this reckless former disciple of his.

But looking at his unwavering eyes, kramer gave up and sighed and asked Samuel

" Do you have a Bounty Hunter's Badge ?"

Samuel gave a nod before taking out and handing his bronze badge to Kramer.

Kramer gave a nod before replying " Great this would make my work much easier "

As he finished speaking those words , a dim blue light appeared from on of the many rings Kramer was wearing, and engulfed around the badge.

And Soon a sharp and brisk navy blue letter 'V' was engraved on the front of the badge, as he handed it back to Samuel.

"This is your Identification proof that from now on you're a part of Vulcunus Sword Academy."

"Thank you very much" Samuel gave a deep bow after placing his bag back on his pouch.

"Now that we've gotten the permission, let's talk about the other issue. " Hemdall replied, while grinning widely from ear to ear.

"What is it now ?" Kramer suddenly had a bad premonition and he frowned.
