While the entire incident occurred and their was panic around the carriage there was one guy who was calm as an ice examining the entire situation fold in front of his eyes.
'There are around 35 bandits surrounding us while they seem to be Ordinary people with slight proficiency for knives but if they all attacked me at once I'd die a dog's death'.
while coming to this conclusion Several different scenarios stated playing inside Samuel's head
'what if I defeat that bald guy?' After giving a bit of thought Samuel immediately shook his head.
'That guy is definitely a trained swordsman and I can't tell how strong he is ' He hasn't reached that realm in his swordsmanship where he could figure a person's strength just with a glance.
"place all your belongings Inside the carriage "
Hearing this all the passengers started placing their belongings obediently without any hint of intention to fighting back. Samuel too followed the suit with the rest of them and tied his belonging in a clean white cloth placed it inside the carriage.
except for the sword that he slyly tucked behind his back inside the shirt. as he was already wearing a soft armour so it didn't show any abnormal appearance.
"Boss we gathered all their belongings what should we do with them now ?"
"Bring all the women back to the camp as for the rest, Kill them. " a cold voice replied without any hint of hesitation.
Hearing those cold reply, the passengers nearly fainted, while creating a loud outcry, a few even tried to fight back and curse at such cruel fate being handed out to them.
"You Bastard, you already took everything from us, Do you really have to go that far to the point of killing us ?" One of the young man amoung several passengers roared.
Some even resorted to begging for there lives.
"Sir, please let me go, I have a 5 year old daughter and a sick wife waiting for me."
A Middle aged man pleaded while know towing on his knees.
Following that several passengers started getting om their knees pleading for their lives.
Looking at the scene in front of him, the bandit leader grinned as he was enjoying the feeling of superiority he recieved from crushing this innocent people.
And their constant pleading only added fuel to that blazing fire inside him as he replied.
"What are you waiting for ?, Kill them all "
While all this incident was playing out, no one noticed a small figure jumping out of the crowd and dashing straight towards the bushes while watching how the situation unfolds with a cold glint in his eyes.
Samuel Knew these Bandits had no intention of letting them live the moment they told them to place their belongings inside the carriage.
Judging from their numbers their camp should be nearby so their was no need them to rob an entire carriage cause it literally has no use to them.
So he came to one conclusion they have no intention of letting them go.
Samuel was thinking of running away from here just before he heard that cold command from the bandit leader.
as he was trying to get away from that place but something was weighing him down in this place and he wasn't able to move from there , when he was as some flashes of people he was accquainted with for the last two week came to his mind.
He saw an old couple who were sitting in front of him while talking about how they finally saved enough money to retire and have a leisurely vacation after working their entire life.
the passenger sitting besides who he talked with just before entering the forest talked about finally being able to reunite with his family after being being away for business for more than a year ,and a young girl no more than five years old hopping inside the carriage cheerfully while greeting every one including the stoic faced Samuel with a cheerful smile on her face .
'Ahh...is this the trail he has to face that Dad was talking about, it's too burdensome.' Samuel thought he always considered himself an a rational pragmatic person.
'But that's not the case I guess. when push comes to shove even he can't control his emotions. with this a sudden light flashed through Samuel's mind as he remembered the last word his dad told him before he departed for his journey.
'When Push comes to shove Don't hesitate '
He didn't really understood the meaning behind his father's words,but given the situation he was facing in front of him, and all the knightly duties he inherited from his father, made Samuel unable to accept the predicament of these innocent people.
'So I guess he knew something like this was gonna happen sooner or later didn't he. I guess I have a lot more to learn' with this a bright smile formed in his face as he said
"Fine , let's not hesitate."
With this Samuel pulled a brilliant shiny sword out of it's black sheath as he dashed inside the forest as he placed himself right behind where the Bandit Leader was and took a deep breath, to make sure not to make even a sound, as he coldly gazed at the his back preparing his stance as low voice escaped from his Mouth
