Upon hearing Aegus's question, Guxing Diaosou glanced at him.
"How much do you know about Sovereigns?"
Aegus regretted his words as soon as they left his mouth. How could anyone not a sovereign offer a Sovereign Weapon? His question was utterly foolish.
However, to his surprise, Guxing Diaosou responded. Aegus quickly said, "As far as I know, there are nine Great Sovereigns in the world, each governing gold, wood, water, fire, earth, light, wind, and thunder—the Eight Great Elements. There are only nine Sovereigns."
This wasn't just Aegus's viewpoint, but also that of most people present.
Because in their understanding, there was only one sovereign for each elemental system.
Guxing Diaosou, however, immediately gave a different answer.
"You only know part of the truth. Yes, each system has a sovereign, but the sovereign isn't the only one," he revealed a mysterious look in his eyes and counter-questioned, "How do you think someone becomes a sovereign?"
