Once Jasmine explained what happens Astila greets his mother hoping to change the mood.
"Mom, we brought fish we caught last night and are about to grill some veggies. Is there anything you would like?" Astila asks his mother as he hugs her.
"No dear, but I brought desert. I made honey corn cakes and blueberry honey cake. I want to have Jasmine for the day while she is here. It's time she learns to cook. I know it's a little late for her to start but she is now a wife. As a soon to be mother I need to teach as much as I can. Who knows how much time I have left. I want her to know the traditional dishes before I pass.
"That is fine mom , but I hope you will be here for a long time . " Astila kisses his mother on the forehead. Astila notices Uzil's face and wonders what he is hiding.
