Sighing at having to meet his father this morning, Seo Jun gets up to shower. As the rising sun's light filters through the sheer curtain, waking Seo Jun. Sitting up lazily, he rakes his fingers through his thick black hair. Turning the water on, he looks at the mirror, only to see the blue pearl shard around his neck glowing. His black eyes change to a light bluish color the brighter the pearl gets. His heart begins to race as he holds his pendant in his hand. A burst of energy fills him as he sees a girl holding a matching piece in her hand. Seo Jun sees a pair of bright green eyes, framed in long dark lashes, staring back at him as she reaches out her hand. Seo Jun reaches out his other hand towards the mirror; he can feel the warmth of her hand. Almost as if they are touching, Seo Jun hears her gasp as she drops the shard, and they lose contact. Leaning his forehead against the cold mirror, Seo Jun begins to laugh. Seo Jun can finally find his pearl. His centuries of living without his dragon powers could be over. Happily, he showered and imagined the beautiful green-eyed redhead with his fate in her hands.
Jasmine dumps the contents from her diving bag. Jasmine noticed a smooth blue shard. Picking it up, the palm of her hand feels warm. Her head fills with a vision of a robust and handsome man whose body is sculpted like a god's. His shoulder-length black hair framed his beautiful face, and his eyes stared at her intently, making her heart race. Reaching out his hand towards her, his look mesmerizes Jasmine. Jasmine raised her hand towards him feeling his warmth.
How is he standing here in her room, she wonders as the shard begins to glow and becomes too hot for her to hold. She drops it to the bed, and the man disappears. Shaking her head in confusion, Jasmine gets ready to sleep.
Seo Jun can not get over what occurred before leaving to meet his father. Staring out across the city, he remembers every detail of the encounter. He barely noticed that the secretary had come in with coffee.
The secretary stares at the man standing by the window. Seo Jun is what every woman dreams of in a man. He is capable, handsome, and wealthy beyond imagination, but he is untouchable. No woman has been able to get his attention in the five years she has known him. Human nor dragon has been able to thaw his ice-encased heart. Seo Jun turns to her and gives her an icy look.
"Leave it there. I will wait for my father. Thank you, Tam; you may leave." Seo Jun turns his back to the slim woman. He is leaving her no choice but to leave. Tam turns quickly to walk out when her boss walks in. Even at his age, he is a match to his son; only his grey hair is different.
"Good morning, chairman; everything is ready and waiting." Tam bows to the chairman in greeting before going back to her desk. The chairman smiles at her warmly with a lustful twinkle in his eye; when she has closed the door, his demeanor changes quickly.
"Seo Jun, explain to me why your name is all over the paper?" Chairman Seo angrily asks his son.
Seo Jun turned to his father and glared at him.
"You're going to believe that rag. When have I ever gotten drunk and passed out? You and I both know that I was at Mother's that night. If you look closer, you will see it is your other son, not me. It just happens that a girl wants to get married and doesn't care which of us it is. " Seo Jun bites out at his father.
"I don't care which of you it is. The name in the headline is yours. I am giving you thirty days to clear this up. If it's not, you will get married to whoever I say. I will not have any arguments, or you know what will happen.!!!! " Chairman Seo throws the paper down and slaps the tabletop loudly, his hand shifting from human to a scaly claw. His eyes change to slits and then back to human. Seo Jun glares at his father. Knowing that his dragon powers will be gone for good if he goes through the marriage to anyone but his destined mate. He is smiling as he remembers the girl from the morning.
"I understand, but I will marry a woman of my choice, not yours. " Seo Jun glared at his father before slamming out of the room.
The chairman chuckles as the door slams. Knowing his son, he will have no choice but to marry who he has chosen. Tam comes back into the office with the chairman's daily work.
"Sir, do you think he will find someone in the time given?" Tam asks the chairman.
"He is too cold-hearted to anyone but his mother. I have my men watching every move he makes. He has no one, so that I will get my way. He will lose his powers completely and no longer be a threat. Make sure the girl in the paper is well paid to keep low and quiet until then." Chairman Seo tells Tam as he waves her away. Tam smiles secretly to herself. She has no plans to help the girl in the paper. She plans on being the woman that Seo Jun marries.
Meanwhile, Seo Jun has other plans; he plans on finding who can see and touch his pearl. Only the one destined to be his can see it and feel it. Seo Jun has to find her without his father knowing. If anyone can find where the woman is, his brother will be able to. Smiling, Seo Jun calls his older brother.
"Are you at home or in your office?" Seo Jun asks his brother.
"I'm on my way to the office. Why, what do you need?" Seo Ki asks his brother.
"I need you to help me find someone quickly." Seo Jun tells him as he gets into his car.
"Meet me at the coffee shop near the office. That way, we can talk where Dad's ears can't hear?" Seo Ki tells Seo Jun before hanging up.
Sitting at the cafe staring out the window, Seo Jun's mind wanders back to the woman from earlier. Just thinking of her fills his body with desire and need. He knows she has to be the one. If only he knew where and how she found his pearl shard. Not long before, he sees his brother coming into the shop. Waving to him, Seo Ki walks over to him.
"I've already ordered your usual. Dad is demanding I marry within a month. " Seo Jun tells him, watching for a reaction. Seo Ki winces and shakes his head.
"You know he is doing this to ensure your little power is gone. He was furious when you didn't lose all of your powers when he broke your pearl." Seo Ki tells Seo Jun.
"I know that's why I need your help finding someone. I need your abilities to help me find my mate. I was awakened by her this morning. Somehow she found a piece of my pearl. We connected when she touched it with her bare hand. I need to find her and the other pieces and quickly." Seo Jun tells his brother excitedly.
"After work tonight, we will go to the sacred pool. Since it is a full moon, we should be able to get a clearer vision." Seo Ki tells Seo Jun as he stands to head for the office. Smiling at his brother Seo Jun nods goodbye as he leaves.
His father has his home off-limits to anyone outside of the family. Staying behind a few more minutes after seeing his father's men parked outside, Seo Jun decides to get them off his tail. If he goes to his mother's home, they will leave. Then, Seo Jun can get to the pool without notice later. Before he gets up to leave, his younger brother comes into the cafe. His face is sour-looking, and as usual, he looks hungover.
"Hey, big bro, sorry about the mix-up in the paper. I'm sure Dad is upset and giving you a hard time." Seo Shin plops down in the chair, placing his head in his hands.
"It's ok; he knows it's a lie, but it allowed him to implement a new plan. Don't worry about it; be careful not to get too involved with her if she isn't to be your mate. You know what will happen if you do." Seo Jun warn him.
"I know; I've been cautious not to let her take any of my fire. My heart doesn't pull towards her. We are just having a good time, and she knows it. Since she is of our kind, it's not as big a deal. We both are careful since neither of us wants to lose our powers. " Shin yawns as his coffee arrives.
"Well, I have things to do today. Enjoy your coffee and stay out of Dad's way. He is not in a good mood." Seo Jun warns as he leaves.
