Chapter 2 - Allan

6 years later,

Town of Ashfall, only in name though it can now be considered as bigger than most big cities but there are no enchanted walls and formations(though there is work in progress meaning construction) around the town, it also can not be considered disorderly or maybe it is a bit too well maintained especially in the last 5 years due to the presence of the royal army. The reason for Ashall's town recent prosperity is that it is the closest trade point between several big cities and Empire's capital city Alethyn, so some smart merchant decided to make a small town or gathering for resources that will be coming and going from the capital, seeing this several other big merchant groups also decided to build branches there after-all it was convenient to find most kind of resources gathering here and going in and out from here which attracted alot of people so the town kept expanding till it's current size, finally a year ago the Emperor gave the order to officially start the construction for Ashfall to become one of the largest city and trade hub for the Empire, also seeing the city's disorderly state and under the rug crimes, underworld market and various gang's, guild's dealings that destroyed or made normal citizens lives dangerous caused the Emperor to order royal army to bring some order, harmony and piece to the city, it didn't take even a month for the royal army to destroy all of the overt criminal guilds, gangs and such, now only the underground market remains which could be considered a necessary evil afterall most nobles, big families does not want some items to reach the general population, so some shady deals do take place but life for the normal citizen could be said to said to be exceptionally peaceful compared to a year ago.

At the moment, a 5 years old young boy who look to be 7/8 years tall could be seen working hard in a smithy his facial features could be described as adorable and handsome with jet black hair, deep black eyes that seem to glow in the night though his right eye seem to have a purplish violet shade with slight chubby cheeks but the young's boys skin looked to be slightly pale and he looked to be slightly on the skinny side that most people would take pity on and Allan wouldn't mind taking advantage of them especially if their evil or they have a malicious aura. At this moment one could also gauge by looking at his face that the boy looked to be far more mature than his age. Allan at this moment could be seen working on a staff and sweat was oozing out from his forehead until he finally succeeded carving mana pathways on a staff with his delicate control of mana.

"Uncle Fang, i've succeeded" Allan shouted in a mature and deep tone but this tone on a 5 year child only made him appear more cute and addorable .

"What??" uncle fang shouted in amusement and shock, amusement due to the mature tone Allan uses when he speak to him though Allan voice tone is deep it is in no way mature and can only be said to be bubbly.

Fang hurriedly walks over to the smithy and pick up the staff to check and inspect it then exclaims "Amazing, brat, how old are you? 4? and already a rank 1 mana smith, people at the capital would be trippin' their feets if they know about you brat."

"five, Uncle fang, i'm 5 years old and i've already been training for a year"Allan replied in the same tone.

"4 or 5 it's the same to me, and some people take 10 years and might not become accomplished rank 1 smith and besides i'm curious who taught you mana control, the mana pathways of this are very smooth? maybe a bit too smooth? he asked in a curious and confused tone.

"My mother taught me" Allan said in the same manner but one could also detect a hint of pride in his tone though Allan was telling the truth he didn't tell the complete truth because his mother also taught him how to use his water/ice,dark elements he used dark elements in destroying the impurities and smoothening the path ways during the forging and smithing. Because his mother forbade him from telling anyone about his elemental affinities especially before his soul awakening so he couldn't and wouldn't tell anyone about it not even Uncle Fang. One would consider Allan weak by looking at his pale and sickly appearance but in actuality he was physically even stronger than some rank 1 mages.

"oh, she must be strong?"Fang questioned.

Fang had definitely taken note of the dark element traces on the weapon but didn't ask or said anything about it to the kid.

"she was" Allen said with the hint of sadness in his tone.

Uncle Fang immediately change the topic realizing Allan's mood and said to him "Oh, it's getting late let me get your pay and you can make your way home"

He hurriedly makes his way to the cash counter and give Allan double the amount of pay for his weapon "here" he said calmly. "Uncle Fang this.." Allan said his voice giving way to his childish and deep tone.

Uncle Fang hurriedly put the money in his hand and said "Don't worry about it ya' made a top grade rank 1 mana weapon, it would fetch me more money and hmm.. where did tha' mature punk go? " Fang said at the end, noticing Allan's slightly change of tone.

Allan knew that his weapon wouldn't fetch that much money even though it was a top grade 1 because of the relatively cheap metals during the forging process but he didn't say anything anymore neither did uncle fang they both knew it, Allan just remembered it in his heart took the money from Fang and made his way home.

Allan was a little cold to others except Fang and his Mother because in the first two years he had faced the harshest environment the society had to offer and with intelligence surpassing most 10 years after one month of his birth, he had seen how his mother would come home with injuries to her body and severe injuries to her mana path again and again to provide him the best nurturing and resources she could in every way except for his body's constitution, the damn bottom less well of a body constitution his body has, no matter how many yin resources it swallowed it kept wanting more never to be satiated but she didn't care she kept putting her life at risk to provide more yin energy resources so the day when his yin energy body constitution acts up he had to feel less pain, till 15 days ago when her mana pathways were so twisted that even using small amount of mana would cause her to vomit blood, my mother didn't want to tell anyone about my body's constitution, she feared that he would become a tool to be used and discarded just like her. But she didn't tell him a whole lot about her past but she did impart him most of her skills and knowledge and way of life, when he was just 6 months old.

Thus Allan was 4 years old when he decided he would help his mother in gathering resources for his yin elemental constitution so he sneakily left the house one day looked around the town for a job but most didn't take him seriously, some straight up rejected him and some tried to even take advantage of him but he was able to tell and made the run for it using his mother taught techniques (what he didn't know was some that could catch up with him was disposed off by his mother), he was always able to tell when someone had malicious intent or aura in his surroundings he also told his mother about it and according to her, it might be related to his constitution.
