Jin was horrified; he only wanted to go home to his girls and tuck his three-year-old twin girls' good night. Then, maybe afterward, have a romp in the sheets with his bombshell of a wife, Isabella. They were everything to him; he lost his entire family during the shattering.
He awoke to the 3-Star rank upon seeing his family thrown into the air as the grounds of his house were split down and began drifting apart. Upon meeting the sultry voice in a white space, Jin demanded he immediately be sent back.
The heavy swordsman was already 28 years old, but his parents were frail, so he could only stay even as he grew older to care for them. He enjoyed a simple life with two younger sisters and one younger brother. Five lives depended on him, so he could not take it easy. He needed to be firm and steady so that they could rely on him.
The voice explained that he grew in strength just from his determination to save his family and that he would be able to make three wishes in exchange for this desire. These wishes may be in the form of abilities, enhancements, skills or knowledge, or even items should he desire them to be.
She also explained that while in this space, time was frozen, so he could take his time to think. Further explaining that it would be a while before he could do so again. The new information caused Jin to think deeply about what he would need the most.
1st he needed the ability to save all 5 of his family members hurtling to their deaths. Next, he needed a more muscular body to leverage his brand-new strength, and lastly, he needed to find a way to survive in this new world. After having made his choice, he immediately said.
"Give me the power to control the wind, grant me a bigger body frame and give me an ability to sense if my life is in peril."
-Most impressive choices, darling. I grant to you Harder than Stone, Wind Rider, and Introspect. I hope to see you again [Hurricane Swordsman].-
Immediately after the voice echoed, Jin had a large amount of information entering his mind, centered around three concepts. A body harder than stone [Durius Quam Lapis], The ability to control wind [Anavátis Anémou], and finally, a sixth sense that foretold danger [Nèi xǐng].
He learned their strengths and weaknesses and how much force it would take to use them. Then, excited about his newfound power, he exited the white space only to learn that sometimes fate is truly a conniving bitch.
An intense pressure descended on the entire five-kilometer area around the gates. He was being jolted awake from his trance Jin as he saw Cain being impaled by a javelin and thrown backward. The heavy swordsman was not in the best of moods; he started panicking as this entire brawl was due to him slashing the dicktrap first, and he deeply regretted it.
When Clegane said he would drop the entire thing, Jin was overjoyed. If his pride was the only thing needed to save his team and his family, He would be the first to throw it away. But before he could say anything, the Asgardian archer just had to shoot at them; what's worse was he hit Cain.
Shooting Cain wouldn't be so bad if he could evade it, but he was currently weak from fighting the Gremlord horde. As if that wasn't bad enough, El was here; Jin and Abel already concluded El was a yandere. It was a term from the olden times for people with two extreme faces, a face of affection on one side and a face of extreme brutality on the other.
She would typically be a sweet and bubbly woman, but put a scratch on Cain's face, and the woman turns into the personification of vengeance. Likened to the reverse scale of dragons, Cain was El's.
Black Hammer fortress already had many missing women, some of which were blamed on Clegane, adding to his notoriety. However, only a few knew that most of the missing women were disposed of by El. And she kept playing dumb about it, even joking about how she could be the next one to go missing.
Jin felt his temples heat up; it was the passive warning from his third skill [Nèi xǐng], or introspect in Chinese. It meant that he was currently in mortal danger; fearing for his life, he immediately dropped to the ground and used the wind to slam Abel and Clegane down as fast as possible.
"Get Down if you don't want to die!"
The lady in the white space was devious, to say the least; many warriors tried to understand why sometimes, even after killing hundreds of beasts, they did not rank up while sometimes a single kill could bring as much as three. And when some used their precious wishes to ask, the answer they received was.
- Desire, my dear, is what drives Force, the intense longing that can make anyone insane or infinitely powerful. Desire drives the world, the force of change, evolution, and innovation.
I am the one who grants all Desires, from greed, gluttony, rage, lust, pride, vanity, and envy to even something as simple as lazing around. I am [The Lady of the White World]. -
When the six beacons learned of this news, they became immediately aware that one's power is directly connected to how resilient or volatile one's psyche is. Emotionally driven people harness the power earlier while calculating people were able to use the energy in greater strength.
A crystal-clear voice resounded as everyone in the vicinity felt the stifling pressure. Clegane was having trouble understanding how a 1-Moon mage could emit the force bordering that of Sun-ranked warriors.
"You f*cking Sansorðinn dicktraps, I will F*CK YOU UP SO HARD YOU WOULD WISH YOU WERE DEAD!!! ULTIMATE SKILL [SONATA MILLE LAMENTA]!!!"
El declared as the pressure rose, starting from a murmur with each word being said louder than the last. At that moment, the entire area turned silent; lovely voices started chanting verses one by one.
If one were to listen, they would notice that each verse was part of a spell, and some were being chanted by more than one voice. Within 5 kilometers of the gate, the voices all continued chanting. Forget disorienting. The area sounded like a marketplace where everyone was discussing a different topic. It was noisy, and it was hard to focus on any one voice.
The voices also didn't have the same temperament; some were crying, some were laughing in joy, some screaming in hate, frustration, some lamenting, some exuberant. But, regardless of the state of the voice, only one thing was the same. The voices didn't stop chanting.
Step. Step. Step.
For some reason, light footsteps could be heard. It was clear and rumbled with each sound, like an office woman walking through an abandoned building on 4-inch stilettos. Each step gave a sense of dread to all who heard it.
Jin and Abel were sure El was in the middle of having a breakdown, so they remained low and started crawling toward Cain in slow and little movements. Clegane, on the other hand, felt his body grow cold, the Asgardian's defenses were disabled by Cain, and a 4-Star body won't be able to survive based on the force behind each spell.
-I get married to Arthur~? I get married to Arthur~! My love, my hope, my Desire~! I will never ever let you go! Oh? Hasn't it happened yet? WHY! WHY! WHY! Arthur is my husband~! I'm so happy! I need to make myself look pretty~! OH NO! What do I do for the wedding?! BELLA HELP!! WHAT DO YOU DO ON A WEDDING NIGHT! SOMEONE HELP!-
After a few moments, lights started falling in different colors, a large part of Cain. Then, over a hundred voices full of joy, happiness, and affection started calling out.
"Arthur, are you alright? [Heal]! Here, more healing [Greater Heal]! Arthur, I love you! [Love of the saint]! Arthur, does it hurt? [Resist Pain]! Are you tired? [Increase Vitality]! This should not happen again. [Earth Armor]! Arthur, you're dirty. Let me help you wash [Veil of Water]! Arthur, it isn't nice to remain wet [Calming Winds]! Arthur! [Refresh Mind]! Arthur! [Swiftness]! Arthur! [Reflect Magic]! Arthur! [Second Life]! Arthur! Arthur! Arthur! Arthur!.........."
