CHAPTER 1
Susan Lee was the daughter, the special daughter of the prominent Mark Lee. Mark Lee was one of those successful business man you wish was your dad. Mark Lee ran a company called Lee group, it was ranked third of the famous business enterprise in the world.
Susan Lee however wasn't like her dad, who was cheerful and full of life, instead she was ruthless and cold, so cold that even the gods of Antarctic will bow at her presence. After her dad retired Susan became the new CEO of Lee group, the news spread like wildfire. As soon as Susan became the CEO of Lee group it became more popular.
Susan never lacked anything within and outside of her. She had the beauty, fame and shape. It was as if she was made separately by God. She was so perfect with her figure 8 shape, her hips were the right amount, curvy and wide. Susan's shape attracted men wherever she went and the way she walked worsened the situation in a very good way that is. Susan was cold on the outside but on the inside she was absolutely crazy. When no one was around or it was only her and her bestie Adora, Susan would off her cloak of coldness and behave like every normal badass girl would.
Susan's father loved her so much but one thing that baffled him was his daughter never talked about dating or liking any guy. It was so frustrating as a father whom's child was close to twenty-two years old and she still hasn't talked about any man to him. It was pissing him off.
"Dad can you please stop talking about this issue. When the time comes I will introduce you to someone", Susan said as she was getting tired of her dad saying the same thing every day. "Suzie", as her dad always call her. "You aren't growing any younger. You are twenty-one for God's sake". Mark faced his wife "Lisa would you please knock some senses into your daughter?". Lisa stood up and sat beside Susan. Stroking her hair she said "Suzie baby your dad is saying the truth, go out and have some fun. Find someone and stop being so cold, we both know that's not how you are on the inside". "Whatever I'm going now, so see you guys later" Susan said and walked out. Lisa sighed.
In another mansion.....
"Adam, you're not getting younger. You are now twenty-seven, what are you still doing being single?" Joseph, Adam's father said. "Dad can we stop talking about this? Now isn't the right time maybe later" Adam said and slouched on the sofa. Victoria his sister scoffed at him. Adam shot her a hard glare making Victoria flinch, using her phone to cover her face. Edie his mother sat beside him patting his knee "Okay. So when are you going to bring Ms right to us, since all the girls we set you up with are always too tall, too ugly, too fat, too undisciplined, too this, too that". Dean who was listening to their conversation finally chipped in "Mom stop wasting your time. Big bro will never see someone with the same character as him. But mom do you know who can match his status?".
Edie was just like Dean, fun and loving. Edie squealed, "oh yes tell me". Dean leaned to her and whispered into her ear. Edie eyes slowly widened and her lips curved up mischievously, "Yes yes yes. That's true". Edie faced Adam who was already busy with his phone "Son if you don't want to settle down with someone and give me a grandchild. I know the way you'd do that and I promise you, it won't be to your liking". Edie stood up and walked away stomping her feet like a child and Joseph followed her. Adam dropped his phone and faced Dean. His eyes turned cold "What did you tell mom?". His voice was so deep and scary. Dean jolted in his seat and slowly looked at his brother cold eyes, he could feel the coldness emitting from his big brother.
"L-Look, I d-didn't tell her anything" Dean said trembling on the sofa. He decided in his mind that if Adam should move he won't waste any time to flee. As expected Adam moved to Dean leaving a few inches between them " I said what did you tell mom?". Adam smirked "You heard me Dean. I won't repeat myself". ' Oh gosh. His eyes are so piercing, I have no other choice than to flee ', Dean thought and immediately ran away. Adam chuckled darkly and he stopped before facing Victoria who was still giggling happily at her phone. Vicky felt a cold wind blow, she looked up and saw a set of deep blue eyes looking at her. "Shit", she cursed as she hurriedly averted her gaze and carry herself from the sofa and walked away from the living room. Adam chuckled and picked up his phone, finally all his disturbing family are gone.
The parents of Susan felt they should do something about their daughter and quick. Lisa sat beside her husband "Honey we have to do something about this single girl of ours who is not ready to mingle". "I get you. But I have my way of doing things dear and I know exactly how to do it", Mark said as his eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. Lisa smiled and she scooted closer to him "And what is that my dear husband?". Lisa knew Mark tactics and how cunning he was. Mark touched her face and smiled widely "Don't you worry dear".
The parents of Adam also felt the same way about Adam. He was getting older why won't he get someone to settle down with. Joseph also had a brilliant idea, a very brilliant idea.
"Mom! I'm not going anywhere. I thought this was already settled that I ain't going to any damned blind dates. So you better forget about it ", Susan said boiling with anger. Why will her parents set up another blind dates for her? How ridiculous. "Darling, please. After this one no more blind dates", Lisa said literally begging her daughter. Susan could not stand her mom begging her. "Alright, fine. I will go, but afterwards no more blind dates. Promise?". Lisa nodded "Of course" . Lisa was so happy, she even showed Susan the picture of the man she had the blind dates with.
"Adam!!!!! You are going and that's final. You have no damn right to argue with me" Joseph said as he was at the peak of his anger and he could explode any moment from now. Who wouldn't when your son is at his late twenties and yet he remains single? Who the hell does that???
