"Dammit..." Daniel Varden, the Captain of the men that had been sent to the surface of Dust Light IV, swore as he got the failed report of contacting the fleet in orbit. "They should have noticed something was up by now."
Just then, someone came running up to him. "Captain!" A young man rushed over.
"What is it?" Captain Daniel asked.
"Five combat carriers, each carrying a full company of mechs, just descended from orbit. They are heading here right now!" The man reported and Captain Daniel immediately felt a wave of relief wash through him.
"That's great!" Captain Daniel exclaimed, losing his stoic demeanor at once and stunning his subordinates.

Mech Captain Rudy Jennings sighed for the umpteenth time as he endured a rumble in the combat carrier. The inertial dampeners had been knocked offline with the incident that happened in the warp travel, and with more important things to fix, the inertial dampeners was not a priority fix.
